A colossal headache. Thats what it is. Twitter is a about as deep as the word implies. People spend their day twittering about little things they do so see or a sudden thought that crosses their mind. You only get something like 140-149 characters to work with so they don't lend themselves to lengthy comments
Imho, a bit superficial but its all the rage now. I started one, got horrified and overwhelmed then promptly never came back.
Knowing how you feel about technology and all, Twitter would definitely not be your cuppa tea. Not ever.
Too damm superficial for my tastes. PLUS, you really have to take anything someone says with a great honking piece of salt. Too many reports of famous people seeing. One Twit: Just saw Dom in London! Second Twit: I just saw Dom in a restaurant in Maui!
He cloned himself and is actually living in a bungalow with Billy in Costa Rica.
*laughs*
Yeah...When it comes to tech, I'm always on that fine line between awe and omgwtf were they thinking. Regardless, I'd totally break it anyways on accident... I did delete the internets once. *nods*
Too many twits in the world as it is, with out me joining them.
It's not horrible, although I'm not entirely comfortable with it, either. I don't try to keep up with it. I do use it for things like... well, earlier this week: "Dreamed I worked at a mall and got fired for biting a customer." One-line LJ posts, sort of, and the occasional response to others' posts.
Awww...I like Twitter! Ok sometimes I need to take a break from its constant updates, but for them most part, it's fun.
There are famous people on there (No, really) that I actually give a crap about (Wil Wheaton, Greg Grunberg of Heroes, Jewel Staite & Nathan Fillion from Firefly, etc.) and it's fun to see what they are up to, snippets of their daily lives.
Plus it's great for an ADD girl like me who can't seem to concentrate enough to make a proper LJ entry these days! (Cause yeah, I set it up to have LJ post all the twitters I've made in a day as an entry here...
