They came, they saw, they were remarkably in character.

In short, TMNT was everything I hoped it'd be. It was a little bittersweet not seeing them go up against Shredder, but staying true to the gospel of Vanilla Ice, he's gone...for now. I also thought the movie was good. I especially loved Splinter's shelf with the first movie's Shredder helmet and the third movie's time scepter thing. I also love that I can place it in movie continuity, but it doesn't have to be in it either.

I don't like that April hasn't eaten since the third movie. I HATED Splinter's voice. AWFUL. I also think that while Michelangelo is generally the comic relief, he also tends to display some skill and talent. Here he was all gag relief with little skill shown whatsoever. He's supposed to be a joker, but not an idiot.

I do like that they kept the Mike/Don buddy relationship from the older films. I always thought that was cool.

Oh, and none of the jokes here will ever beat "a little too Raph" from TMNT II. That cracks me up everytime.

This new movie was definitely better than I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed it for sure.
