It's a sad statement of fact that Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is only one of about three in the entire franchise to call a time-out and try to shed some light on Freddy's character and the path that led him to enter into a kind of Teenager Home Run Chase with Jason, like some blood-covered version of McGuire vs. Sosa.

Isn't the actual Crystal Lake somewhere upstate?

Also, where does New Nightmare fit into all of this?

And yes nerdy, but I'll nerd along with you; I saw Freddy's Dead, Jason Takes Manhattan and Freddy vs. Jason all in the theater. Hell, I still have the 3-D glasses somewhere.
