parasite.

A warm night breeze blew through the field stirring the waist high grass from its still vigil of the night. The stars cut through the clear sky, traveling billions of miles, just to arrive so quiet, small and colorless. One man did see them as he lay on his back amidst the grass. His brassy blond hair almost was the color of the grass in this season, his eyes reflecting the night’s plaid glow. He smiled faintly to himself, just glad to be there. He shifted, but heard more movement through the grass. Danny tensed for a moment before relaxing to see a pair of brilliant green eyes above him.

“Hello, Eryk,” he said, grinning. Eryk quickly sat down above Danny’s head, taking the other man’s head onto his lap, stroking his hair. “Nice to see you too, sweetie,” he added, almost laughing.

“Beautiful night, isn’t it?” Eryk asks, looking down only at Danny and not the stars or the colorful trees. Danny raised an eyebrow, catching the hint.

“But I have a most wonderful view from down here,” he said slyly smirking at Eryk. The other man returned the smile before bending down to kiss Danny’s lips. Once, twice, small kisses before allowing himself to linger longer and deeper. Danny’s eyes fluttered shut as he returned the gesture, his fingers tangled in Eryk’s inky locks.

Eryk slowly broke away, lying down next to Danny, wrapping his arms around him. Danny sighed in contentment, snuggling closer to Eryk’s body. He was warm and soft and safe and just right. Danny wished that he could just melt into Eryk and stay like that forever, but seems just too simple.

“What are you thinking about right now?” Eryk asked, whispering into Danny’s ear, allowing his breath to tickle the other man’s ear. Danny shivered, letting out a soft sound of need, answering Eryk’s question in a wordless but perfect way. Eryk shifted so that he was on top of Danny, looking down into his eyes, smirking. “That’s what I thought, Danny,” he said.

“That’s what I thought, Danny. Still asleep, you lazy fucker,” Trent’s voice came over the answering machine. Danny groaned rolling over, his arms locked around a rather damp pillow. It was just a dream. Just a really disturbing dream, he thought, sighing out of relief. Ever since Eryk had kissed him like that in the elevator, it had been like parasite on his mind. Just made him think about things he didn’t want to want and want things he didn’t want to think about.
