Einstein has theorized (and Steven Hawking has proven) that space-time is curved. If the universe were two dimensional, it would be like a piece of paper bent in a U. Time could only exist where the matter or anti-matter exist (in the paper). If there were a tear in the paper, someone could travel through it to the other side of the paper, travelling incalculable distances in very little time (in the universe, time would stand still relative to the traveler, but his personal perception of time would continue). The tear could be a wormhole opened and controlled by a quantum field. Given a three space dimensions and one time dimension, a wormhole can send the traveller backwards in time, unlike in the 2 space 1 time sheet-of-paper universe.

I have read up on this alittle bit, but we gotta find a way to a make a tear in space-time, if it's called that. I just hope that no one goes back and kills their mother.

I don't think I do, but all my nerdo books are in Franklin. Check out _A Brief History of Time_ first, that's easily is best book. It's written with non-physics people in mind, so it's fairly easy to understand. I think I have a book called _About Time_ that is cool, but I might have borrowed it from someone and given it back. Just check out Barnes & Noble's nerdy science corner. That's where Sara and I went to trace the pi symbol from the book _The History of Pi_ the night I got my tattoo. Yes, Sara drew my tattoo.
