I have no speakers. Can someone give me a run down of the colbert thing. Or even a transcript would be awesome...I want some details other than "colbert roasted Bush infront of him!"

hmm, let's see... what were some of the great lines...

well, there was the comment about how america has rebounded time and time again from catastrophe... with outstanding photo-ops (referring to pictures of george bush standing on top of various piles of rubble at ground zero/new orleans surrounded by police and firemen).

or, in reference to the recent changes in white house staff (paraphrased): "some people have been saying it's like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. to that i say this administration is not sinking, it's soaring! if anything, it's like rearranging the deck chairs on the hindenberg!"

there were jokes about cheney's little shooting accident, the lies about WMD's in iraq... oh! and about how the media has valiantly done its part in recent years to avoid upsetting the american public by failing to report anything the least bit controversial. that was a good one.

i found the transcript for you too though, cuz there's no way i'm gonna do the whole thing justice... click

enjoy... i sure as hell did!

I'm pretty sure my favourite part was the glacier comment...enjoy that metaphor because your grandchildren will have no idea what a glacier is

I looked for a transcript for a little bit.
Can't find one...
But here's good stuff here:

From what I can tell glancing over it, I believe this is the FULL transcript. Of course, you'll miss some of the finer points of visual humor, but maybe you could read along with the video? It could be a very special and intimate moment for you and Mr. Colbert.

If you can, find a computer with sound. The laughter, and sometimes lack of it, it the most telling part.
