Ok so I am at a loss for what to do. Yesterday my dad went bat crazy and threw a fit. i did not cry. but i think a part of me died inside

Melissa? Your dad is trying to control you. He doesn't want you to go to the Army because he thinks the Army won't let him control you any more. He wants to make you doubt, and will push any and all buttons that he can in order to get you to. I continue to recommend cutting off all contact with him, parent or no. He can regain contact with you when he starts acting like an adult parental figure and not one second before. He says he cares for you, but if he did, he wouldn't try so damn consistently to make you miserable.
