As a girl who used to pride herself on the amount of time she'd spend watching funny people tell funny jokes in public settings, it is strange to think that I have never actually attended a show by the Comedians of Comedy. This, friends, changes todayI am going, after work, to buy two (2) tickets. I trust I won't have any trouble finding a date ( Read more... )

I have been meaning to cover "Hardware" for coming up on 4 years now and have yet to get around to it. Mostly because I don't sing or play guitar, but that song makes me want to.

When you get here, we can bust out the four-tracker and do an acoustic rendition. That's all I've ever been good for in the way of covers, but I think we can make it work. Also, I'm completely, 100% serious.

In other news: The last week has made me feel like CRAIG FINN IS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MEEEEE. I've listened to nothing but Lifter Puller, period. What is up, existential crisis?

Holy shit YES, that is EXACTLY what I've wanted to do -- that song is one of LP's few I feel could be pulled off soft and sweet. I bet we could get Gales to come sit with us, too, or maybe TK, for instruct (if I could somehow get drunk enough to negate my ridiculous embarrassment). Or Franz could play accordian. Oh, god, I just got like a thousand times more excited to come to NY.

In other news: welcome to the club! C'mon in, the fireplace is nice and warm. There's scotch in the cupboard. No, no, the one next to the stove. And ice cubes are in the freezer, of course. All right.

Perhaps we can just assemble the whole band in my living room and play Lifter Puller Karaoke Revolution! TOOK THE HAND JOB AT THE HARDWARE STORE! MADE ME FEEL JUST LIKE A MAN! Seriously, though, tell TK to bring an amp. Mine is in storage.
