First and foremost, 'Dance of December Souls' is better than 'Brave Murder Day'. Yeah, I said it. Wanna fight about it faggot...yeah, I didn't think so.

I still have to finish the last act in "Wilkie and the Moonstoners" by tomorrow. Fuck.

Oddly enough I only heard DODS about three days ago and BMD pales in comparison. In fact BMD really isn't that great at all in retrospect, Akerfeldt's vocals don't sound that good at all compared to Renkse's old screams. Still not as good as Viva Emptiness though.

I agree on all points but the latter, I'm just more partial to their more blackened escapades...though 'Viva Emptiness' is definitely their best latter day effort...Fuck, I still haven't gotten the chours to "Ghost of the Sun" out of my head even after two years.

Yeah most people seem to prefer their earlier stuff and I probably would to if I hadn't started with Viva Emptiness and worked backwards.

Hey, whatever works...Just don't overlook 'Sounds of Decay' like everyone else.

oh, goody, i still don't have dance of december souls. i like tonight's decision and last fair deal gone down the most, i found brave murder day quite boring.

"Last Fair..." was their weakest imo.

Even though it actually has several of my personal favorite Katatonia tracks ("Right into the Bliss" among others), I'd have to say that 'Tonight's Decision' was their weakest, or at least their most inconsistant.

But then again I'm sleep deprived, on some painkillers, and still not done with the play, so I don't really think it matters.

That's probably my second least fave album by them but I really like it nonetheless.
