My lunch offer was turned down "I think I am going to pass today"
So do I push for a date and time in the future or let this strike go and wait for another day? That is what I am asking myself. Strike one did not bother me as much as I thought it would, though it did bother me and cast doubts on my next attempt.

I'm going to throw this out here, even though so much is dependent upon tone of voice, body language, etc. "I'll pass" is usually code for "No thanks," so you might give it one more shot, but think it over. If she'd said, sorry, but I brought my lunch today, or something like that, I'd tell you to go after it. The issue is that you work with her, so persistence could backfire. If it were some other situation, it doesn't hurt you any to keep after her and ask a couple times, but since that's not the case, caution is in order. But good luck again, anyway.
