I don't know you [reading random journals tonight] but I understand what you are going through with your friends giving you advice that you right now, may think is "useless"..however, it's not "useless", not at all.
Please listen to your friends, they are only giving you this advice for your own benefit and I know that you don't want to hear it but it's only the truth. I never took my friends advice because it wasn't what I thought was good advice and I ended up with the worst heartache of my life. I'm sure that there is some girl out there who cares a hell of a lot more about you then your girlfriend. I was naive too and it hurt me in the end. Yeah, you are probably saying to yourself "who are you to tell me this stuff, you don't know me", I'm just trying to help you in the long run so maybe it won't hurt so much.
