I added you because you were interesting, or maybe you're related to something I'm addicted to at the moment, or have been addicted to in the past. I read *all* of my friends' entries, if not daily, then eventually when I do a mass reading day. Hello! Can you tell me how you changed the date on just this one entry? I know how to change the LASTN_DATE_FORMAT, but I am not sure how to do just one entry.

I've posted the original entry at first to something like 2003. Then I realised that couldn't really work because all the future entries would then be disallowed and had to be backdated, which I didn't like either.

So now, I just leave the original elsewhere on the page, and copy the coding into my style, aka, hard coding that particular entry so that it appears before %%entries%%.

Of course, you can stick it at 2003 when you post your own notice, but then backdated entries will just mean it won't show up on your friends list.

well if you post an entry to normal date, then edit the entry and post it to the date you want, you don't have a trouble with the backdating (like mine) so you just took the "comments" feature at the bottom of that entry from the original entry?

no, I had trouble with backdating, so I just left the date on the original entry what it was.

After that, I took the entire code for the entire post, title, date time, entry, comment links, and stuck them in my style. Tweaked time/no of comments because those will get updated when people reply but will remain the same in my hardcoded bit in the style. This way it will mean that the post is posted twice, once at the original time, the other right at the top of my journal. It isn't really posted again, I just took the code for it, its like putting an extra image at the top of the journal, except you have working comment links.

nope, I'm afraid that *I*'m the freak, because all my IMs are deleted at the moment and prolly not coming back anytime soon....sorry. If you want to mail me some ideas and pictures you want included in the background I can see what I can do...and include all those picky things in there. That said, I can mail you tids and bits of samples and see if you like them first :>

You can see from my layout samples numbers how many times I've changed the style, both of the background and the layout in general before I become satisfied with it. So, I think it goes both ways, I wouldn't want anything less for you :>

Yes, I should include it above, no access to any IMs whatsoever at the moment. Unless you want a hand at IRC.

You could mail me some ideas of your theme and perhaps pictures you want to be included in the background. And as I say to everyone, you should take a look at the public styles I've got.

yeah I have a picture and I pretty much figured it all out but I lost access to photoshop so if you could just do the image for me I can basically do the rest. I have a few other questions but I'm braindead at the moment.
