You know, one of these days I'm actually going to get sick enough of this job that I'll quit it. Probably not while school is going, but can I really stay here all summer? Eck

The reason why i was confused was because you were talking about toxins in your body and I know of a diet that is suppose to remove those toxins from your body and that diet takes about two weeks and I didn't know if you were going to try that or what you were talking about... why would you just give up smoking for two weeks??? If you are going to do it at all it should be for good. ya know.
Well, because I have to tell myself something to make myself less crazy. This is hard to explain to someone who's never smoked or drank ... hmmmm. But anyway. Yeah.
you should try toothpicks, and even if it's not your thing. sometimes it can just help to have something in your mouth, to get your mind off it. daniel has these tea-tree favored ones that are awesome, you can probably get them at a store that sells all organic foods.
or maybe try replacing the smoking with something new, (healthy, of course) it might help you to work something else in while working the habit out.
example: when you feel like a smoke, take a walk instead, or eat an apple, or maybe put a toothpick in your mouth. whatever works for you, ya know?
Hahahaha. I'll try. But ... it's not just like I need to replace one habit with another. It's really, really really hard. Per milligram, nicotine is more addictive than heroin. Not that that's any excuse, but ... it's not just like I can chew a toothpick, it's not just an oral fixation.
Anyway. The bottom line is I can DO anything I want to ... including quit. It hasn't been that long that I've been doing it, so the sooner I give this an honest shot the better.
No, i understand it's not an oral fixation, I'm just saying it might help. I wouldn't know what it is like to have a nicotine addiction, but those are just a few helpful hints I have heard, that might actually be helpful to you too.
I also think that you care about your health, clearly, and the idea of replacing smoking with something healthy might be a good solution for you. It's not going to cure the addiction, but it might provide more motivation to quit?!? Just an idea.
Oooh, I have started running more lately and it's fantastic. So far it's day two of no smokes and I did lunges and 2.5 miles yesterday and I'm wonderfully sore. Yes, hotels do suck eventually, like everything else I'm sure. It just gets so repetitive, and monotonous, and I get sick of sitting behind a desk for 8 hours and hearing/saying the same thing day after day after day after day ....
But for the first year it was okay, and you at least get to study. Try it, it might be for you.
