Words to describe this weekend - sleep, slumber, catnap, siesta, and Bagpuss (8w_gremlin had to point out to me at 9:30pm on Saturday night that just because I was asleep didn't mean that he wasn't capable of independent existence, so no, he wouldn't come to bed at such a ridiculously early hour when there were computer games to be played. In fairness he ( Read more... )

I remember that stage... It might be worth pointing out that your workplace are obliged to provide you with a place and time to rest as you need it when you are up the duff. Not that I ever took advantage of it but then I was at home most of the time!

I've actually just had a call from HR to say they're coming round later to do a Risk Assessment - I'll ask them then. I think there is a room with a bed somewhere, so I don't think it'd be a problem. So far I've not been too bad at work though, I did feel under the weather over the weekend so maybe I was fighting a cold or something. But I think it's likely to get worse over the next few weeks, especially as she's waking me up during the night more now!

Which sensible course of action was completely ignored by the rest of us. She made a very good 'first-person-down-the-hatch-to-the-hold-with-the-naked-frozen-zombies' volunteer. Or was it 'person-we-hid-behind-while-trying-to-disarm-the-bomb-in-the-hold-filled-with-kerosene'? I can't remember.....I think you're still alive. Doctor Green did suggest lithium, though.

What a shame Mat had to point out that I wasn't a pink-and-white striped cat with powers of mind control

Is this mind control in general, or just the "...all his friends go to sleep too" part? 8-)

A while back I started writing a non-specific RPG scenario, probably for CoC, based on what happens after Emily is committed, the shop is sold off & the toys put in storage. As Slartibartfast once said - "the mice were furious".

They changed their song too...

I think Bagpuss had general powers of mind control, but was too lazy to use them :-)

Now, y'see, I reckon Gabriel was actually the mastermind behind it all. All the croaking & banjo playing was just a front...
