Heartonbroadway, I am yet to figure out who the heck you are, but I like you! I couldn't agree more with anything you've said.

Shawn- do you realize how much stronger you are making yourself by not only realziing, but ADMITING that you're struggleing with this? The person I fear for most today is the person that feels they have the life together and are completely in control. NEWS FLASH!!!! We're NOT! I need to hunt down the lyrics to an old Entheos song, one of Jarrods orginals, it's called Washed Away, you will love it, it's so perfect for this. Till then, stay strong......

Oh btw-- I had a chat with Jesus this morning....... He mentioned something about you being his favorite....... told him I'd send the message along! :)

Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?[a] 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says ( ... )

So are you saying that it's impossible to see the good in people because there is no good anyone's heart but Christ's?

I disagree that you can't improve yourself. I don't have much support to back me up here, but people do change, sometimes for worse but also for better, and sometimes just changing our mindsets to look at the world in a different light is improving ourselves, even if it's on the inside where no one can see a change. Is it not true that asking for God's help is admitting that we are not perfect and that we want to be closer to the Lord? How is that not improving oneself?

The reference to this scripture concerns me..... and if Im misunderstanding you, dont hesitate to let me know, becasue I wanna know. The way I read this and grasp it is this, are you saying that all of someones friends are an enemy to God? What about our Christian friends, our brothers and sisters in Christ? Sorry if I read too far into this, but.... :)

it dosent mean having friends is wrong...it basically means don't love the world more than God. i put the first part in because i didnt want to take scripture out of context...cause that is bad. so im sorry if i made you misunderstand.
