The faint sound of traffic bustled outside the bedroom window as Sehun lazily positioned himself on his bed, concentrating hard on his phone. He looked through Suho hashtags on SNS, analyzing his Glory Day activities. Loud keyboard clicks echoed throughout the dorm while Sehun aggressively typed, fighting netizens.

[Exclusive] Netizens vote for Top 10 Worst Boy Group Leaders

3. [+129, -56] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ suho deserves to be on this list. He can’t even get them to act peolite and stick together ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+522, -41] Isn’t it so funny when people underestimate how Kim Junmyeon is the best thing to ever happen to EXO ㅎㅎㅎ He protects and always cares for them, yet everyone is too blind to care. Have you seen how cute and caring he is to Sehun? He loves him the most too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“That will show them,” Sehun smirked as he perched himself up on his bed and threw his phone to the edge carelessly.

Although it was a friday night, Sehun didn’t have any schedules, and most of the members didn’t either. Lately, Sehun’s days were spent visiting restaurants, relaxing at the dorms, and worst of all, not having Junmyeon by his side. Another lonely three weeks would be spent laying on his bed, observing the mess around the room that Junmyeon left, yet with no sign of him. The dorms grew quieter (and also louder) with the frequent disappearances of him.

It was different not having a leader around, as Junmyeon was such a big part of their ordinary days, advising them to eat healthy and workout with him. The worst part was how it hit Sehun. It wasn’t simply that Suho had Glory Day conferences and fan meets to attend, but that when he had free time, he spent it with the cast.

Sehun sprawled onto his stomach and reached for his phone to continue searching up news on Suho. There he came across pictures spread across SNS of Junmyeon with his cheery smile and shining peach cheeks, as he was held by a tall hyung who was mutually smiling. He looked happy. Like he was enjoying himself. Without him.

He went from nagging, to jealously, to self doubt.

The same questions and thoughts repeated in Sehun’s head: “Is Jisoo nicer than me? Funnier? More outgoing? Does Junmyeon still think of me like I think of him? Maybe he just needs a break, to make new friends, not to be with his same-old roommate, who’s really funny and caring and sweet and always holds onto him when he’s sad…

He didn’t find himself that jealous, but it still hurt his heart every time he saw Suho lively with someone he didn’t know.

All Sehun could think about were the days when he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep from sadness or being too fueled on sugars. Junmyeon would stay up late with him and listened to every single one of his troubles and rants. He comforted Sehun with his soothing voice, giving him any help he needed, his wide, glistening eyes that locked with his as their hands intertwined, spreading warmth to Sehun. That was all he wanted: Junmyeon next to him in the evening having endless discussions, in the morning eating cereal messily on their beds and leaving Kyungsoo to clean the dishes, in the afternoon playing with Vivi and Byul. Sehun wanted him, so much that he may even go out of his comfort zone to tell Junmyeon.

Sehun took a deep breath, taking his time to not let his thoughts cloud his mind. As the pain drifted away, Sehun agitatedly grabbed for a pillow, resting it underneath his chin and dialing Suho’s number.

[phone ringing]

“Sehuna!”

It’s been so long since I’ve heard him say my name.

“Hyung, what are you up to?”

“Just getting dinner with Jisoo, what about you?”

Sehun’s mind went at full speed trying to think of what kind of believable excuse he could tell Suho.

“I’m cleaning our room, it got so messy!” No, he knows I’m way too fucking lazy at this point.

“Oh Baekhyun and I are about to go out!” That doesn’t work either, Baekhyun hasn’t left the dorms for 4 days straight.

He really wanted to say how much he has missed him, but the words just wouldn’t come out no matter how hard he tried. It didn’t help at how oblivious Suho was either.

“You still there?”

“Remember to get home early today.”

I need you next to me.

“I promise! I’ll bring some snacks for you too, okay?”

“Okay, bye Junmyeon.”

“Bye!”

Goodbye. That wasn’t what he wanted to say.

Maybe ‘I miss you’.

Do you miss us? Do you know how much we need you? How much I need you?

Sehun sighed and laid on his back, listening to white noise of the fan, while staring at the ceiling as the air gently blew onto his face.

“You talked to Junmyeon?”

A mischievous voice lingered around the bedroom door frame.

“Yeah.”

“You miss him?”

“Y- Why are you asking me this?” Sehun proclaimed, flipping himself over and piercing Baekhyun’s eyes.

“You think we don’t notice you bored and having the same routine everyday?” Baekhyun smirked and giggled. “We do too, don’t think we don’t feel your pain.”

“Junmyeon is spending his time with friends, and if he’s happy with them then it’s okay. I can do just fine.” Sehun’s cheek blushed as he looked away from Baekhyun’s gaze.

“Honestly, I’m starting to even get a bit jealous,” Baekhyun sighed and flopped onto Suho’s bed, arms crossed behind his head.

“That’s because you’re a hoe for everyone.” Sehun crossed his legs and squeezed the pillow, tired of Baekhyun’s antics.

“Okay you got me there but have you seen how much Jisoo towers over him? And how they’re always on dates?”

Sehun slumped onto the bed frame. “Don’t you have anything better to do like annoy Kyungsoo?”

“He’s watching anime, if I bother him he’ll bring out the stick again. Anyways, you ignored the question I first asked you.”

“That was the point, dumbass.”

Baekhyun let out a sigh of defeat as he got up from Suho’s bed; “Whatever you say.”

Baekhyun left the room as Sehun started contemplating what he was actually doing.

Shit. If Baekhyun notices me acting like this and tells Suho then he’ll start worrying about me.

The problem was that Junmyeon didn’t notice how often he was gone. More importantly, how much they all missed him. Being with 8 other people in a dorm was comforting, but when everyone had different schedules Sehun would sometimes end up completely alone. Well, with Jongdae and Baekhyun. And occasionally Chanyeol. Sehun got tired of beagle line constantly screaming and doing random shit.

Sehun sighed as he got up to change into comfortable clothing and then slid into his bed, wishing to wake up before Suho would arrive.

“Ugh and he knows I can’t sleep alone either. Who does Junmyeon think he is,” Sehun mumbled to himself as he covered himself deeper in blankets.

___

Sehun bolted up from his bed as he felt his heart rapidly beat, but what stood above from him was surprising.

“A-ah, Sehuna! You’re awake!”

An embarrassed Kim Junmyeon hovered over Sehun, hands clasped to his chest. Backing up to his sudden awakening, Suho bumped into his own bed and stumbly sat down, smoothing out his bed awkwardly .

Sehun brought himself up and laid his back on the bed frame, looking at Junmyeon’s flushed face. Sehun would analyze every one of Suho’s emotions. Whenever Junmyeon would be embarrassed, he’d look at you but avoid eye contact and rest his folded hands onto his lap.

“What were you doing?”

“Oh! I didn’t even get to explain yet! I stopped by a convenience store and found these snacks that reminded me of you.”

Suho pointed to the carton by Sehun, “You like chocolate snacks, right? It must’ve been hard eating all healthy because of me, so I wanted to be nice and get you something sweet.”

Sehun looked around his bed in curiosity, finding a carton of Doraemon chocolate crackers to his side.

Sehun had a deep passion for chocolate snacks. He’d always pick out some kind of candy, drink, or crackers with it always being chocolate flavored. Sehun assumed Junmyeon began to catch on.

Junmyeon took a deep exhale and loosened up, undressing himself quickly. “I hope you like it. Today’s been such a long day hasn’t it?” He looked into Sehun’s innocent eyes, which were too busy scanning Suho’s toned body.

Junmyeon stuttered watching the younger’s eyes on him. “Thank god it’s finally the weekend, though, am I right? Haha TGIF!”

Even Suho’s weird dad jokes couldn’t distract Sehun’s gaze. He kept his focus on Suho as his elder slid into his bed wearing only boxers, feeling his cheeks slightly blush at the sight. “Yeah, sure.”

How could Junmyeon do that? Be all hot and display his bright smile and dad jokes right in front of his pure eyes?

Suho turned his body over in his bed turning off the lamp and facing Sehun. He smirked as they made eye contact.

“Well, you can eat and I’ll head to bed, okay?”

Sehun tucked himself back into bed as he opened up the carton, rattling the shaped snacks. “Yeah, it’s getting late. Goodnight Junmyeon.”

Junmyeon snuck one more good look at Sehun.

“Goodnight!”

He still didn’t say I love you to me before bed like he used to.

___

Sehun found himself waking up suddenly once again yet with a different feeling, and definitely not a pleasant one. His stomach grumbled as he felt something coming out of somewhere else other than his mouth. It’s been awhile since Sehun last had chocolate after the healthy eating regime Suho got him into, and his body was reacting different that expected.

“Shit. Like actual shit. I have to poop.” Sehun whispered to himself, clutching onto the lower part of his torso.

Sehun pulled the bundled sheets off his body and got up from his bed rushing to the bathroom, but something distracted him. Someone. As Sehun thumped onto the ground he slowly walked back, peeking his head back into their bedroom. Junmyeon was sleeping in that cute baby position again.

He laid on top of his bed in fetal position. His face looked relaxed and calm, as the faint sound of his breathing relaxed Sehun.

He couldn’t help but stare at him for another minute, feeling his face get warm, and his stomach growling even more.

Sehun sighed in relief as he flushed the toilet, then going on to his daily morning routine. While he brushed his teeth, a sweet, enthusiastic voice caught his attention.

“Yeah, how about 2? We can go to the festival and have a bunch of fun!”

So they’re making plans. Huh. Sehun looked at himself in the mirror, feeling a sudden burst of confidence. He crept out of the bathroom, toothbrush in his mouth, and stood at their bedroom door. With crossed arms and still brushing his teeth, Sehun stared at Suho.

“A-just a minute!” Suho said sweetly as he put his hand over the microphone of his phone.

“Making plans?” Sehun angled his head and sweetly smiled with a mouth full of toothpaste, scrunching up his eyes.

Junmyeon lowered his voice and looked at Sehun in confusion. “Yeah.”

“With?” Sehun quickly replied.

Junmyeon replied nervously; “With Jisoo!”

Of course, Sehun thought to himself. As he contemplated what to say, a plan hit him.

“Let me go get ready.” He spoke slyly, eye smile and all.

“You want to come? I mean, yeah, you can come.” Junmyeon was shocked and surprised, but he still smiled just as brightly back.

He then continued his conversation, explaining to Jisoo how Sehun would be joining them while a smug look spread across Sehun’s face.

“Okay, bye! See you later! You can pick us up in your *whips* whip!”

Sehun rolled his eyes watching his hyung try to whip, hiding from the embarrassment.

Junmyeon placed his phone back onto the nightstand and looked at Sehun’s tall frame; God, what kind of stunt is Sehun gonna pull now.

___

Sehun, Junmyeon, and Jisoo strugglingly walked on the sidewalk as one would always have to be further than the others, despite them all having the anatomy of an inflatable noodle. They knew they were approaching the fair as the sound of children’s laughter and the smell of fresh street food crept down the road.

The weather was slightly gloomy with clouds covering the sky, not yet warm enough to roam without a jacket.

The sound of children and the trio’s shoes against the cement was the only thing they could hear; they were all dead silent. A few stiff coughs and glances to each other were made, but that was all.

Jisoo put his hands into the sides of his jacket pockets as the material swished against each other; “Weather’s been lightening up, hasn’t it?”

Suho exhaled the awkwardness and looked at Jisoo, “Yeah, which means closer to spring and closer to my birthday!”

“I bet Jisoo doesn’t even know when your birthday is,” Sehun mumbled underneath his breath.

“I at least know that he’s a Gemini.”

“But are your signs compatible?”

“I’m an Aries.”

“So am I. Try me.”

Suho watched the two bicker back and forth, turning his head in disbelief at every come back that was made.

“Hey hey, we don’t need to start anything, okay? I have two hands. One for Sehun and one for Jisoo.”

“What about all of the others boys that have fallen for you,” Sehun said, side-eyeing him.
“AND WHAT ABOUT OUR FANS.”

“Oh look! We’re here!” Suho pointed to the entrance of the festival filled with food trucks, games, prizes, and children with tired parents scurrying everywhere.

The aroma of tteokbokki filled Suho’s stomach. Junmyeon closed his eyes in bliss as he took a deep inhale; “Let’s get some food first...”

They paid their ticket fees and stared across all the tents. Their attention quickly transitioned to a bunny Junmyeon trying to run through the flood of people to reach the tteokbokki stand.

“Hey, wait up!” Jisoo yelled while laughing, feeling the breeze of the air on his face as he and Sehun attempted to jog to an eager Junmyeon.

“You better not ditch Suho like you did to Sangwoo in Glory Day,” Sehun yelled.

Their short hyung was already in line when the boys arrived. “If you’re that hungry I could’ve just made food for you at home,” Sehun said as his crossed his arms and looked around the festival.

Junmyeon turned around and looked directly into Sehun’s eyes. “Your speciality dish is fried ramen with honey.”

“Better than nothing,” Sehun mumbled.

Jisoo smiled radiantly watching Sehun look down at the angry bunny Junmyeon, entertained by their petty arguments.

“Next!”

Junmyeon faced forward again and ordered for himself, lightly bouncing in place.

“That’ll be fifteen thousand won.”

Jisoo reached into his pocket and searched for the folded leather when Sehun’s arm reached over his handing the cashier money.

“Here you go!” Sehun said kindly, “It’s on me.”

___

Junmyeon was stuffing his mouth with food as the three sat at a small table, as Sehun and Jisoo started up a conversation about games. All they could hear from him were slurping sounds.

“So you’re saying you’re known to be good at fair games?” Jisoo spoke questioningly as he smiled at the young boy.

“Yeah, you could say I’m good at about um, everything. Even got that acting contract as well,” Sehun said while grabbing a piece of tteokbokki for himself.

“Bet?” Jisoo said. No one knew that he would stay at arcades for hours during his free time, and this was the perfect opportunity for him to test out his own skills.

“I’m ready if you are.”

Sehun chuckled as he held onto Junmyeon hand heading to the first booth; “Let’s find out what this Jisoo guy is really all about.”

___

It was too late before Sehun realized that the bet would be one of his biggest mistakes that night.

“Given up yet?” Jisoo smirked at Sehun as he carried the stuffed animals and plastic toys he won, filled with pride.

When Jisoo challenged Sehun to who could win the most prizes for Suho, Sehun knew his determination and love would win, but his aim and game skills didn’t.

Sehun panted, struggling as he tried to hold Junmyeon’s hand in his right hand and a large stuffed Rilakkuma bear in his left. “Winning isn’t about everything,” the exhausted boy said, “I just planned this all. You were all played. SCAMMED.”

“Says the one who said they were ‘good at about, um, everything’” Jisoo exclaimed as he and Suho reacted in a bustle of laughs, hitting each other.

Sehun felt embarrassed at how he had ended up winning only one game (and the prize having to be half his size), but when he looked over and saw Junmyeon’s grip still tight on his hand and his eyes creasing in joy, he knew everything was fine. Suho being happy because of him was Sehun’s everyday objective, and now that he could see it with his own eyes again, his heart filled with warmth. But that wasn’t his plan. He snapped out of his bubbly mood before he became too comfortable and thought to himself.

I still haven’t told him how I feel nowadays, Sehun thought. He looked back again at the two in constant laughter, feeling regret that he had yet told Junmyeon what he’s wanted to say.

----

After the awkward “Tonight-was-fun-but-we-weren’t-really-on-a-date-since-there’s-three-of-us” goodnight goodbyes, Junmyeon laid out onto their living room couch, sighing in exhaustion. Sehun watched him yawn and focus on the TV program. It’s time isn’t it.

“Junmyeon, let’s talk.”

Sehun sat down on the couch as Junmyeon brought himself to sit next to him. “Sure, is something wrong?” Junmyeon reached for Sehun’s hand and rubbed it softly with his thumb. “We can always talk about anything you need, I’m always here for you.”

The way Suho looked at Sehun when he’s genuinely concerned for him always made Sehun’s heart pound. It felt just like how it used to. The deep eyes. Lowered tone. It made him melt each and every one of the countless times Junmyeon looked at him.

More silence passed as Sehun gathered his mind. “You seemed a bit weird at the end, was something bothering you about Jisoo?” Junmyeon bent his head to look at Sehun’s face that looked down to his lap.

“It’s not me, or him, it’s that..I...I miss you. You're busy and things haven’t been the same between us. I can’t help but to be jealous when you spend your free time with your cast members instead of me. I’ve missed your voice comforting me at night, your back pressed against my chest. Until today it felt like I haven’t seen you beaming with happiness and energy in months. I’ve been waiting for you to say ‘I love you’, join me in my bed to sleep, or ask me if I’ve been doing okay. I’ve been letting these feelings of loneliness hit me harder than they should. I just need you by my side and the minute you’re not with me I’m a mess.”

Sehun abruptly came to a stop as Suho’s hand cupped the back of his neck. All of the warmth on his neck rushed to his face, creating an even redder Sehun.

He continued rubbing his neck and bringing his face closer to Sehun’s, staring at his small pink lips. Only the eerie silence and the boys honest feelings were present.

“What about us? Sehun isn’t the only member of EXO!!!” Baekhyun yelled.

“W-what?” Suho rushingly pulled back from the almost-kiss to the sound of the beagle liners voice, as his cheeks flushed.

Baekhyun and Jongdae peeped out from the hallway corner with big grins and hopped onto the couch, invading the two’s space. Baekhyun laid his head onto Sehun’s shoulder as Jongdae did the same to Suho. Sehun and Junmyeon clinged to each other in panic as the loud boys cuddled against them.

“Were you guys eavesdropping on us?” Suho asked in disbelief, relaxing onto the couch.

“Duh. We heard Sehun complaining so we had to come add in,” Jongdae said sassily.

“We all understand that you’re busy but we genuinely missed you,” Baekhyun rubbed Junmyeon’s thigh as he spoke, “and now I have more thighs to touch.”

“Baekhyun shut up we’re being serious here.” Jongdae replied in a tone of annoyance.

In the midst of the two beefing it out, Junmyeon and Sehun both gave each other the look of acceptance as Suho brought them to stop arguing and pushed Baekhyun and Jongdae off of him.

Even though they weren’t able to finish their conversation, the warmth of his hands and sincerity in his eyes did all the talking to tell Sehun how much Junmyeon knew Sehun was the only one for him.
