Saiyuki Gaiden colo: “Next time”

Since deviantArt won't allow people to color the work of mangakas and I may very well wake up to find that my latest deviations have been deleted, I decided to start posting my colos on lj as well. At least no one can bother me on my very own personal space. I'll probably upload all of my colos one by one some day, but for now I'll just start with ( Read more... )

I really like your coloring job, very beautiful and heart wrenching. I wasn't aware DA didn't let you color manga pieces,that's disappointing.

Hey, thank you! Yes, I learned the hard way about dA - finding deleted entries one day :/
Copyright issues, obviously, but it's terribly frustrating to be forbidden to do something that doesn't do any harm to either the mangaka or the editor - if I was uploading full passages of the manga, sure, but I can't rob sensei of her well-earned income with just single panels :/

If anything the publitictly is a good thing for them. Saiyuki has been on my 'list' for a while now, I guess I need to actually go read it now.

Oh, you absolutely must! Gensoumaden Saiyuki is great, Saiyuki Reload is awesome, and Saiyuki Gaiden is brilliant.
