a word has been eluding me that's been driving me NUTS.
imagine, if you will, that you're watching some variation of CSIthey're studying the killer's past and just found out he/she got divorced 2 weeks ago along with custody of his/her children. they look at each other and one says "i think we just found the _____ ( Read more... )

nope! but you said fire, i got 'incendiary' stuck in my head. and catalyst totally makes sense in this, so why not search for synonyms?

catalyst sounds about right. it's just not the exact word i'm looking for... but it'll work.
