I think it's more of a habit than being addicted. I don't crave so much as my brain automatically makes my hand go to the pack? I dont know, still may be worth it though :)
I am currently attempting this. I smoke between 30-40 a day. (eep!)
I bought a nice big water bottle, some B complex (it is suppose to help with the energy issues that go with reducing the amount of stimulant you are intaking...) and a box of those damn commit stop smoking things.
I figured I would cut back a lot then try to quit. If I just went cold turkey at this point it would be like a heroine addict all sweaty, hallucinating, and freakying out for a few days from the withdrawls.
So I am down to about 20 a day in the last few days and trying not to eat like a pig.
I am hoping to hell this gets easier at somepoint. But I doubt it.

The thing is, 99.99% of cigarette use is habit. The physical addiction ain't all what it's made out to be.
Otherwise you'd need therapy to get off the patches, and they'd be a controlled substance...
If it were just addiction, the patches would work, too.

Whats the figure on cost? I'll have to save up for a bit, strapped for cash atm.
