I'm still upset at being robbed of the chance to watch an all new Supernatural last Friday. So to make myself feel better, I decided to do something fun. Sometimes last week, my google alert notified me this
reader's poll result of the "Hottest Prime time TV Hunks List" (of which Jensen scored 6th place, and Jared is in 8th). Ha! This got me

Ooh, but Simon Baker!!! \o/ I always think he's going to be great playing side by side with Jensen. In fact, I thought I could love Castiel character if it were played by him. :D
And of course. Jensen. *sighs quietly*
Thank you for the wonderful list and the engaging descriptions. :D

*sigh* Simon Baker! Too bad SPN is too small a pond to attract him, AND it's very likely CW would think he's too old for their network *snickers*. But man, I just love his screen presence.
Speaking of Simon, have you checked out "The Mentalist"? I confess I like TM far less than TG, but TM is very popular here.

What can I say? I definitely second #10, 4 and 2-1 :)))))
Actually, I would've fathomed there might be a tie between # 2 and 1. But given Jensen's Dean is still a work in progress and there's still *more* goodness to come (angst-, drama- and comedy-wise) your distribution totally makes sense, methinks.
Btw, when tentatively exposed to BSG by yours truly, my mom was also all about Helo. Maybe, that's a 'mom' thing? *g*

I confess my adoration for #1 and #2 are pretty comparable, although with slightly emphasis on different aspects. In my opinion, both men are quite good looking (and neither are flawless, thank God), but I think Jensen is more classically "pretty". Gosh, both of them are so talented in their own ways. In some sense, I see their actings are on the opposite side of the spectrum: for Jamie, I see him as the "intelligent" actor. He approaches his character analytically almost, making very conscious and smart decisions on how to enact the role. Whereas Jensen, I see him as the "intuitive" actor. I think he has an innate sensibility about the character he plays. I almost feel he doesn't think about how to play the role, he becomes the role that he plays while in front of the camera.
LOL about our moms. Hmmm, that's really funny! ♥

I completely agree with your take on Jamie's and Jensen's respective acting styles - intellectual vs. intuitive. Which are viable in their own right and oh my, doest it provide for some incredible results! My inner fangirl is still harboring sekrit hopes to see the play against each other someday. They do badass, emotion and angst differently yet oh so beautifully.

This. Totally agree on that. IMHO Baltar is so unapologetically amoral, and operates entirely on his unabashed self-interest (albeit survival instinct) that despite the occasional flaring of conscience, I don't consider him redeemed until the very last. But then again, I'm also having a lot of problem with how the end played out (at this moment of my life), so I'm still not quite 100% clear he is after all.
Heh, believe me, you are not the only one who holds that sekrit hope! *points downward at Mick's comment* You see, we all share that wish. ;p

The other list - LOL - David Boreanaz as number 1. What can I say!
Also, I can't possibly imagine that anyone thinks that the guy who plays Stefan on VP is hotter than Jensen. That is just so wrong! I find him so unhot that the basic premise of the show, that Elana is into him, makes negative sense to me. (Except of course the poster thinks that David Boreanaz is no. 1, so yeah, his taste is consistent!)

:o)
LOL, I understand. FWIW one of my girl friends and my mom both looked at me askance when I told them I really liked "Apollo" from BSG (on separate occasions).
IKR?! David Boreanaz as number 1?!? I had to double check the listing to make sure the order wasn't reversed. Heh, I also think that Stefan dude has nothing on Jensen nor Jared. Last season I watched a little bit of VD when it was shown before SPN, and I just couldn't get into it AT ALL. Not only I didn't think the leads were good looking, I thought their acting were only so-so at best.
So aside from Jamie Bamber, our tastes run pretty closely, it seems. ;)

Tahmoh--he never really did anything for me on BSG, but meeting him in person...he's a hottie!
I totally forgot about Michael from USA's (I think that was the channel) "Nikita." I would watch the show with my dad, but I have to admit watching it for Michael.
That's a tough choice between Jamie and Jensen. I do agree with what you said above about how Jamie is more intellectual with his roles and Jensen in more intuitive. Either way, I think they both make their characters feel "real," and I enjoy both of their performances. I was also shocked the first time that I heard Jamie in his British accent.
Could you imagine Jamie and Jensen on screen together??? I think the hotness would melt my TV!!!!!

IKR?!? Hee, 21 Jump Street. Back then, I was still struggling with learning English, but oh boy, how I loved that show. *g*
OMG! I didn't know you've met Tahmoh in person! Was it at Dragon*Con? How different or alike was he compared to Jamie? I still remember how Bradley Thompson and his wife kept talking about how smart Tahmoh is because he reads so much. I wonder if he's as articulate as Jamie? Gosh, I wish I could be a fly on the wall to listen to these BSG costars carry a discussion!
Hehe, re Jamie and Jensen on screen together: *points to comment above* You are not alone! And of course you know how I feel about that in particular. ;p

*sigh* Of course, I'm still jealous at Smallvile for landing him as their guest star. Nothing against Supernatural's stellar guest stars (hello, Julian Richings and Mitch Pileggi), but I would love love love it if Michael Hogan would make an appearance too!
I agree with BSG being once in a lifetime, even for the viewers. Although I'm so exasperated with its season 4.5, I still think the show is phenomenal.
