write 666 on your forehead right before it's time to go and i'm sure they'll leave you at home

or just give a good, logical reason why you don't want to go and be civil about it. every time i've been over there (which i know isn't every single time they've ever asked you to go to church) you always freak out on your mom like it's going to make a difference. sit down one day with her when it's not saturday night at 11 and just say exactly why you don't want to go to church. if she doesn't understand, then she's being unreasonable. even so, do not lose your cool. that's the leverage parents have against you. don't let yourself get riled up.

you do, david. they're just trying vainly to get you to comply because they think you're being a little kid.

i figured you'd probably tried that, but it was worth suggesting.

tell them that being forced to go to church just makes your outlook on organized religion worse and that if they really wanted you to go to church, they wouldnt make you and let you find it on you own. after all, god has a plan.

if not just peacfully refuse to put clothes on. aree to go to church, but refuse to wear clothes. unless theyre REALLY hardasses like my parents, they wont take you to church naked.

i can completely relate. i have to go every sunday too =/ there's no way to get around it.

and a logical reason to not go? uhh because i dont feel like fucking waking up early in the morning on the weekend to go sit in a room and listen to people talk about things i dont believe in, dont care about, or already know.

my parents always ask me evvvvvery saturday night if i am planning on going to church. i say no. they say why not. i shrug.
they tried to make me 'tithe' part of my paycheck. i said no. she thought about it. and said that was okay because if she was forcing me then it wasnt from my heart or whatever. she thinks im "flirting with the dark side" as it is.

why am i posting....
