listen up you hardcore kids. or whatever the hell you are. if you listen to korn, stained, and drowning pool, you do not diserve to have "underoath" written on your back pack in white out. nor can you pull blink 182 out of your cd player to pop in the mix cd you made with "when the sun sleeps" on it and claim to like underoath ( Read more... )

I don't know half of all the hardcore bands but I do attend the little shows like my pal Davy so frequently goes to. Little bands bring BIG Band which Bring Against ME! and STRIKE ANYwHERE and THIS BIKE IS A PIPE BOMB to town which puts smiles on my face

I feel the same way but about different types of music. It pisses me off when i hear 12 year-old girls running around singing songs that are on TRL that ive known about for months.

dont criticize people. just ignore it. in highschool everyones trying to find out where they belong and they might look up to you, or people like you and wanna be like you so they get into this "scene" mumbo-jumbo. so dont make fun of them for trying to find where they belong i`m sure you (yes the "all-mighty xwierdox") once had an identity-crisis and didnt know where you belonged and when you start'd getting into "The scene" people probably made fun of you and said you were posen just cause you hadn't been born "hardcore". So dont be mean just ignore it and remember when you didn't know where you belonged.

But you weren't the first one to be into whatever kind of music you are into. There was a point in time when you didn't know anything about what you listen to now. You were lame just like I was once lame, and in many ways, am lame now. I don't know every nitpicky little detail about Coltrane or Charlie Parker, but I still like jazz. Does that make me a poser? No, it makes me an unobsessed fan of a genre of music. Not saying that you're obsessed, but maybe you could take a step back and let other people discover what it was that attracted you to this music to begin with.
