Ooh, I'd hate to think of Nathan being a bad guy...

I felt that in the series, Nathan was mainly concerned with making sure Diva's daughters, his own species, survived. That doesn't make him a bad guy per se. But the only ones who *saw* that particular side of him and are still alive are Haji and Saya. And his species is... rather parasitic on humans by default.

To the rest of Red Shield, he's one of Diva's Chevaliers. He's not human. He's alone. He's hunted. And he's not going to frown on killing people if that gets pursuit off his back.

I still have a part 2 to post, but part three hasn't been cooperating for years, damnit.

This works well. I like that you took into account that the world was pretty screwed up after the events of the show, even with Diva dead. A lot of people miss that.

Warning his much more agile vampire nieces to be careful about running up the steps and then getting himself killed doing exactly that, is a very Kai thing to do.

You handle making it clear that Kai is subconsciously worrying more about Elisa than Irene very well.

I look forward to more of this.
