Otakon Report (1/4)
Hey guys! (: I've finally gotten up my lazy butt to update this journal with Otakon events. I've taken around 80 pictures, so I'm dividing this report into 4 pieces (kinda like what you did, Julia, ahaha).
On July 16th, we drove to the BCC for prereg pick up and for the Vamps concert at Sonar.
We saw this banner on Pratt Street next to the BCC. Wuuuu, Otakon~~
Otakon in the news~~ ahaha, so awesome.
Long lines are LONG for the prereg. But we had VAMPS tickets, so we got to go through a quicker line that took us like 10 minutes instead of like 2 hours. ^^
Nevertheless, the VAMPS concert line was VERY long. People had umbrellas because it was so freaking hot. D:
The lady had purple sharpies to mark our place in line... we were SO lucky. Only ~200 people got to meet Hyde and KAZ for their autographs and shake their hands, and me,Jenny and Cindy were 194, 195 and 196. The two of them got their CDs signed and I got a fan signed (I will show off the merchandise in the 4th post along with the rest of my Otakon swag. ^^)
Lots of people were so dressed up for the concert~~ It made me feel kinda bad that I didn't. ):
But yeah, so we waited a while in line, made friends with everyone around us, who then helped us keep in line while we ran back to Otakon to get our prereg badges... for badges, they had Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, Vocaloids, Ouran Host Club, Code Geass, something called the Stranger (or something like that), and Nabari no Ou~~ I couldn't remember some of the others, but but... Nabari no Ou, omg~~ I was so happy that they had that as a choice. XD They didn't have Yoite on the picture, though... o Ao;;;
So after that, we went back to the line and waited more. When we went in, there were like, SO many people and it was hard to breathe. @_@U We were in like, the 6th row and it was hard to see the stage. Ironically, the TALL people were all in the front. It was pretty fun though... KAZ was so cute~~ haha, and they started spraying water on us later 'cause they thought we were getting dehydrated. KAZ's water hit my face~~ haha.
Yeah, so it was around 11:00 PM when the concert was over. We walked back to the BCC for my dad to pick us up and saw this:
Zero and Reita cosplayerrr~~ ahahaha, ironically, they were the first awesome cosplayers we saw on the first day and the last on the last day. More about that later. XD
