confrontation
ryo
Sleep was interrupted by a shrill ringing noise. My hand looked like a bleached crab as it emerged from under the bed covers to reach it.
“Yeah?” I answered, my voice think with fatigue.
“Ryo? It’s Tatsuya.”
His voice worked better than a million alarm clocks as I bolted up, my free hand fumbling for clothes.
“Where are you?”
“…. your café.”
“I’ll be there.”
Tatsuya was siting near the back of the café, the window letting a stream of sunlight illuminate him like an angel’s halo would. His hands were curled around a cup of cappuccino and he wore a strange expression - a worried expression.
“Ryo,” he greeted as I sat down, and it was only then did I notice the shadows under his eyes.
“Tatsuya.”
Ueda shook his head and pulled his hand away from mine when I reached for it.
“Ryo. Listen. Please.”
I didn’t want to listen.
Eyes staring blankly at his now-cold coffee, Ueda uttered the seven words I never wanted to hear.
“Ryo, I don’t think this can work.”
I didn’t want to see.
He took my hand, his eyes now meeting mine.
“I’m sorry, Ryo.”
I didn’t want to feel.
A maniac grin crept to my lips and I swallowed an unjustified peel of laughter.
“Tatsuya, what are you -”
Ryo. Nishikido Ryo. Let’s end this.”
I didn’t want to live.
“RYO!! STOP!!! THIS ISN’T GOING TO HELP!!” Kay Tee screamed as I wrenched my laptop from the power plug and threw it against the wall, where it made contact with my mirror causing it to shatter into a thousand pieces - my heart too, was shattered into a thousand pieces.
“RYO!”
The over-turned coffee table was swung into the television, where it made a hole in the screen. Blood was pouring from my knuckles, and glass was stuck in the flesh, consequence of my fist going through the window.
“NISHIFXCKINGKIDO RYO!”
My violent antics paused as Kay Tee drew in deep breaths, eyes wide with terror.
“Ryo. Tatsuya would be heart broken if he saw you like that -”
“TATSUYA DOESN’T GIVE A FXCK!!” I roared, ripping apart my bed sheets and pillows.
“He - Ryo, shut up and listen to me - he loves you. But he’s thinking of your life too. Letting go is his way of showing his love to you, so that he won’t screw your life up.” Kay Tee explained.
“Then I hate him,” I snarled coldly , white feathers floating around my like a fluffy aura.
“You don’t, “ Kay Tee replied just as coldly.
The slap I backhanded her with was strong enough to send her sprawling to the floor.
“I do. Watch me.”
The door slammed behind me, the sound echoing through my mind.
