Does purpose ever walk a straight line?

I struggle with myself on a daily basis about my future. What I am going to choose to do with myself. I have gone from talking about going to school for creative writing to cosmetology to business to vet tech stuff, and none of it feels right. Ever. It angers me that someone is expected to go to college if they want to "do something" with their life. So many people go to college prematurely, with sour consequences to boot. If you can do what you love and want to do without a college degree, then I don't think you HAVE to get one. At least you hold what is true to your heart, but metaphorically killing yourself to please meaningless people makes us both sad pandas. I miss you & best of luck with the Melbourne art scene.

I know I don't technically have to. But I've been looking for a new job for months, and every time I see an opening I am interested in, it requires at least a two-year degree. You need a 4-year degree to be an administrative assistant, or to answer phones at a doctor's office. I was always under the impression that making coffee, answering phones, and organizing files was entry level work. But it seems I am wrong ( ... )
