I wouldn't feel comfortable receiving a doll in a box wrapped in paper. The doll boxes themselves are very flimsy, and not too protective -- so I usually prefer to sell unstrung. I do remember seeing a thread once on DOA about making a shipping box out of the free boxes from the post office. If I see it again I'll link you.

yeahhhh that's exactly why I wasn't too happy they were shipped that way. But all is well! As I am using the xmas tree's box. hahah XD It's actually a near close match.

I actually saw that thread, but then it worried me cause I don't know of the pose office will charge taping 3 boxes together that are apart of the priority flat rate boxes. I actually received a doll body that way and still have no idea how that was charged. o.O

They just require it be shipped priority. My sister shipped something home in a flat rate box that didn't fit to their requirements; they made her send it normal priority price for the weight/dimensions.

You might want to try one of the boxes-to-go places and take the dolls with you for measurements.
