Writer's Block: The Expendable Sense(s)

I'd proably give up feeling. I couldn't get cold or hot anymore. Everything would feel the same. It'd be pretty interesting, because you always hear about people who can't see, talk, or hear, but never smell or feel.

oh i couldn't give up my feeling, how would i feel a mothers hug, or a lovers touch, or the rush of a concert. if i had to give any sense up it would be smell or talk. i have words and smelling would be great in non smellable situations but.... yeah. i need to see concerts, here music and embrace touch. i hate this sort of questions. i really do.

Hmmm. I never thought about it like that before. I'd need to feel the rush of a concert. There's nothing like the feeling of tons of sweaty bodies pressed against you in a mosh pit.

I've heard of people [babies] being born without the sense of feel. Like all their nerves are messed up or something, so they can't feel pain or hot or cold. They have to be heavily monitored, because no one can really tell if the kid has that problem until y'know-- it claws out it's eye or something. Or burns itself on the stove and not say anything.

Crazy stuff--saw it on Oprah.

That's really cool. I find that so interesting. Could they feel pain? Or not?

Nope. That's how they were able to almost claw out their eyes 'casue they couldn't feel the pain it caused.
