He had expected fear, but the small boy’s eyes were filled with no such thing. Instead the look directed on the Judge was curious. He supposed the boy had seen so many warriors and armours inside this palace, that it was simply an everyday thing for him. Kneeling, so that he was closer to the height of the child, Gabranth held his arms out. Larsa tilted his head, then walked over to the Judge, taking his hands without hesitation.
”Hello,” he said, smiling slightly, “Gabranth.” Although Larsa could not see it, Gabranth returned the smile.
“Hello, lord Larsa,” he said in return. Perhaps guarding the child would not be so bad after all.
