People fuck up. Eventually, everyone fucks up. The trick is to learn from it and not do it again.
With money, a lot of people never ever learn. Don't be like that.
Learn to say, "I can't afford that right now." "I'd love to, but it will take me some time to budget it." "That's not something I want the expense of." and other handy phrases. ;)
Everything I spend I write down in a ledger. When I started this, I wrote down *cash* expenditures also, so I could know where *all* my money was going to. Then I learned which things were really wasting my money (and I felt like I never got my worth out of) and which things were expenses that had to be budgeted for.
