aaah, the picture of dorian gray....such a sad, sad book. and since you're now a charles dickens fan- "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." I really need to reread great expectations :O I used to confuse it and the great gatsby to a point of insanity. wondrous books, I adore Oscar Wilde... other people's cats, deffinetly. france! good! glad to see people with sense *nods* :D
I have The Picture of Dorian Gray but haven't got round to reading it yet :| I know what you mean about Dickens & Shakespeare obsessing though, except with me it's Julius Caesar & Merchant of Venice.
Actually, my favorite Shakespeare is Macbeth (it's cursed!), I just quote Hamlet more. I have Julius Caesar, it's a nice edition too, but I haven't gotten around to reading it.
I like Dickens selectively. Didn't like A Christmas Carol though. Not the warm and fuzzy feeling type. Shakespeare has some weird plots. Merchant of Venice -- taking a literal pound of flesh...? He was anti-Semitic, lol. Edmund Dantes is one of my (fictional) heroes! But I'd give up Locke Cole for Edgar Figaro. The Jesuit is my favorite musketeer =D We just took a test on the French Revolution in World History.
This has been a nice and random selection of comments.
And not just any Jesuit. The head of the Jesuits :D Edgar is my second favorite character in FFVI. And maybe in videogames as a whole. Who can say no to a chainsaw-weilding pimp-king?
