~*Updates for Last Week*~
-thursday-January 6- three kings day!
school. in 1* the first bell rang and we were all in class talking, as usual, before miss harrington came in at the second bell when mrs scalzitti came in and put a card on harrington's desk. we all looked at her and she smiled and said 'its her birthday' and left. we decided as soon as harrington walked in wed sing her happy birthday. everyone decided that id be the one to lead it (even tho i didn't want to). so miss harrington walked in and everyone looked at me and i knew if i didn't start it, no one would and itd be ruined so i started singing and everyone joined in. miss harrington was like 'DONT U DARE' and walked out. we all thought she was suprised/embarassed so we just continued to sing and got even louder. i was like 'when she comes back we should just start again' lol. she walked in about 5 mins later (NO JOKE) with a red face and it looked like she was crying. she walked in and was like 'ill put ur assignment on the board.' we were all in shock like WHAT?! WHATD WE DO!? so about 10 mins before class ended she tells us that it hasnt been the best week for her but shes thankful for our wishes. she also then begins to badger us about telling her who told us so she can yell at them. none of us spilled on scalz!
*i was walking through the halls when i heard a junior say 'did u hear our schools closing?' to another jr. i thought nothing of it........
`as soon as i got home, i changed and sat down to relax and watch the latest episode of Lost that i taped when my mom begins to FLIP OUT about me not taking down the xmas tree and how its gonna be up forever and how were lazy and she kept NAGGING AND NAGGING until i said "OK!" and took the entire thing down by myself while watching Lost. GOD im glad its over! sheesh!
`at about 7pm i was on the computer talking to people when the doorbell rang and there were knocks at the door. i thought it was my sister cuz shes the only one that knocks AND rings the bell so i just ignored it. my mom got the door and i continued minding my own business. my brother came to my door and was like 'carmie, did u hear anything about SAA closing?' i thought about the jr earlier that day and was like '....no?' and hes like 'chelseas moms here and she said that chelsea heard it today at school and her mom called the school and they said its true' i FLIPPED! i was talking to cece so i immediately told her and i was flipping out! i wouldn't have been as messed up if chelseas mom didn't call the school and found out its true. WHAT THE HELL!? i wont believe it til i talk about it tomorrow at school!!!

school. EVERYONE was talking about the rumors. they all heard about it and i guess sr pat told them that NOTHINGS final yet and theyre meeting with sister cynthia next Thursday to find out for sure. sister cynthia is the head of the Holy Sisters of Nazareth, who currently are our schools sponsors. sam ramos was FLIPPING OUT and crying. she said that last night at practice miss mac told them that the schools definitely closing and she told them to keep their basketball uniforms. ALL the teachers were mad at mac for saying that since it WASNT true! i was so pissed at sam ramos for crying cuz the schools closing since shes one of the people saying "I HATE THIS SCHOOL!" all the time. she even ran out of the school like 3 times during school hours! REMEMBER?! its a joke. in 1* miss harrington expanded on her 'bad week' and said that one year ago her brother was dying and its been really hard for her and she started to cry. she put her face in her hands and began to sob. we all sat there and didn't kno what to do until like 4 seconds later she got up and was like 'lets do american lit' and was red in the face, but carried on like nothing. on the way to homeroom, 2*, sam ramos is telling people to go to the gym. were like 'what?!' so we just went to homeroom. half of our homeroom was missing and mrs duraj said that the students were staging a 'sit in' in the gym 'until they got answers' about whats going on with SAA closing. how flipping retarded right!? NO ONE KNOS! they cant say anything unless they know!!!! one by one, people in our hmrm came in and we were telling them how stupid they were. sr pat came on the PA and told everyone to please go back to their homerooms and her voice was cracking and i felt so bad. she said she loves us and wants whats best for us and will let us know as soon as she does. sam ramos came in the class last and we were all talking to duraj about whats happening. she just said that the sisters dont want to sponsor us anymore becuz theyre losing money. HOW SELFISH IS THAT?! i was about to cry. its not real. its just not..... in 5* geom, mrs peduzzi told us that if our school closes, life will go on and this isnt a 'tragedy' its just a 'disappointment'. forget her. she told us she doesn't need to be working becuz her husband is a public school teacher and makes more than the highest paid teacher at SAA and she only teaches cuz she likes to. SCREW HER!!!!
`in 6* we did jack shit. angie thiry, marissa danise, and lindsay frear (all juniors) came in and were making phone calls trying to meet with the bishop in an attempt to save our school. SOS! SAVE OUR SCHOOL! we had to leave so at 12.35 so i dont kno if she ever got an appointment.
`at about 6.30 me, cece and natalie went to ellens for a sleepover movie night! yay! it was me, heather, ellen, cece, natalie, and alyssa. we all chilled and had pizza and talked. we watched napolean dynamite. i dont kno how i feel about it. i dont HATE it, but it wasn't the BEST. it was ok. there were sum funny parts-lol just thinking about them. we watched like the first 20 mins of dogma then paused it for sum reason and ended up never pressing 'play' cuz we started talking. i LOVE those talks. about everything and everyone. it was insane. i love my friends, i really do. we played outburst and it was too much fun! me n ellen were on a team and i seriously almost peed my pants. her cat is CRAZY! it was wanting to hop behind the couch me n ellen were sitting on and if she did that, shed DIE. she was on the armrest looking to jump and ellens like "NO" but moved the curtains kind of clearing the way. the cat jumped and made a whole bunch of noise but only we knew what was going on and we laughed so hard-almost peeing our pants!! it was too funny! everyone looked at us like we were asses! ellen kept talking videos on my cell phone during the game-good times. we won! 2nd place: alyssa and heather 3rd: nat and cece. good f'ng times! after outburst we talked sum more then decided at like 2am to watch the 'nirvana' dvd from the box set. it was too hot! lol when that was done we all went upstairs to join heather in sleeping. she went like right after outburst cuz she wasn't feeling good. she was sleeping on the floor by ellen bed then i slept next to her with cece next to me who was next to alyssa. natalie slept by our feet with her head by ellens window. we talked til about 3am then ellen fell asleep. natalie was up til about 3.30 then was out. alyssa was out 20 mins after going upstairs so it was just me n cece talking til 4.30am. i was about to go to sleep and kept dozing off but cece wouldn't let me! lol we FINALLY fell alseep at about 4.45am. sumone called ellens house at like 8am and ellens like 'who the hell calls at 8am on a saturday!?' it was alyssas mom saying shed be there at like 10. alyssa got off the phone and was like 'what time is it? ::looks at clock:: TIME TO GO BACK TO SLEEP!" lmao! i dont remember her leaving cuz i was out like a light. heathers cell rang at like 12 and woke us up. we were all laying there in a daze when my cell rang. it was katie mey. she said that there was gonna be a rally in lakewood park after school on Tuesday in an effort to save SAA. were all going! i cant wait! we all WOKE UP and went downstairs to watch dogma. ellen made french toast and we ate then got ready to leave. natalies dad picked us up at like 2.30 and were out. i came home and chillaxed. i was VERRRY tired but i didn't take a nap. im so stressed about school closing. im gonna end up going to HN if it closes. ill cry. I HATE HOLY NAME! i updated my lj and watched the pirate of the caribbean extras on my dvd-rom. i watched the diary of a pirate like 4 times just to watch johnny flick his tongue. lol im awesome, i kno. its SO hot!
-sunday-January 8-
today i just chilled at my house all day. my mom went to bingo at my school and she told me to remind my dad to pick her up when he got home from work. i thought he came home at like 5 so when my bro came home at 4, i drove us to wendys to get sum food. we came home and my dad was there i was like 'wheres mommy?!' and hes like "OH GOD I FORGOT!" so he left STAT. my mom called like 10 mins later saying shes freezing and they let her back in the school to make a phone call. lol how friggin cute! when she got home she told me she talked to sister pat about the school closing and NOTHINGS final but on Friday sum tall black guy came in the office. heres what happened:
man: i hear the schools closing?
sr pat: maybe, its not really final yet
man: whats the problem?
sr pat: were in debt
man: how much do u need?
sr pat: ohh about $3.5 million
man: ::looks around the office while nodding head:: keep praying, u just might get ur wish.... ::leaves::
NO ONE knos who he is or what his name was. when i heard this i went online and told EVERYONE! ITS JESUS! lol we decided our class song is 'like a prayer' by madonna! black jesus! lol its insane. hopefully this guy will sponsor us!!
-monday-jan 10-
school. there was tons of planning for the rally. the deal was to not let the teachers kno becuz we dont want them to go. its planned by the students and everything. tina had a flier so in lit i asked her to see it at the end of class. we had like 5 mins to do whatever so i wanted to read it. i was reading it and miss harrington came over to me and was like 'can i read that?' while she came over to me and was reading it over my back. i was thinking 'holy shit holy shit' and katie meys like "CARMELA!" what was i supposed to do!? say NO?! all she said was '...interesting...dont forget about the meeting Thursday night' i almost peed myself. in homeroom, linsdey frear came and gave us fliers for the rally. mrs duraj read it. lol WERE GOING DOWN! another junior ashley came in and gave us maroon ribbons to wear to support auggies. by the end of the day mine ripped apart.
`in 8* we went to the library for theology with miss kirshner and we were told to write letters to oprah and anyone else we could think of. oprahs secretary called the school (after tons of letters from students were written) and said itd be a good story but she needs a certain quota of letters in order to do a story about it or sumthing. we all wrote to oprah and anyone else we could think of: drew carey, motel, maury, bishop, councilman, etc. it was INSANE! ive been praying so much for our school. we all said wed go to HN together, but now ellen says she cant and shed end up going to sum crazy public school that ive never heard of. WE CANT BE SPLIT UP! cece says her mom said she cant go to hn and they might be moving. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is too much! now mrs peduzzi said if our school decides to close were going to FINISH algebra II this year so we can go to pre-calculus at our new school which means: 1-2 sections of alg II A DAY! i cant do it! ill have a breakdown! i swear i will! 5 sections a week is TOO MUCH! I CANT DEAL WITH THIS! PLEASE GOD!
