I just found out we owe a healthy chunk to the IRS this year. I have never had to owe and this really shocked me. We always get a nice return. I am not looking foward to paying the IRS over $1,200 this year. I have no idea where this money will come from, it looks like we will have to put a new budget in place for the next couple of months :(

once i owed the IRS like 500, and granted this was when i was in college totally poor! i made arrangements and paid $50 a month until it was paid off, you may be able to arrange something like that?

Yah, I really want to know what my rights/options are and I will totally call them, good idea. I know will be ok, but its quite the headache :P

How is that possible? Did either of you go exempt for a period of time of or something? Or have very little with held? That sucks.

Noel wasn't working for the first few months in '08, so I had very little held cuz we were really behind. So, its pretty much my fault. We are doing much better now, so it won't be too hard to come up with the extra $. It was just shocking! When the tax prep lady told me we owe I said "FUCK" really loud. HAHA

She is going to look over our docs again today, to see if there were any mistakes made. I doubt it and its def time to pay up. ::kicks giant rocks::
