wow. okay, a knife through the heart has spectacular romantic-angst value (which is why it's the love of writers, especially poor fanfic writers). but it's totally unrealistic. it's not quick and simple. not -plunge,bleed,die-. not quite the sequence of events there. the heart is located between the 3rd and 4th ribs on the left side of the chest.
