Then join me in my ramble:
First of all, I would like to state: LIGHTNING IS DEAD! I think she is still a playable character, but I'm frightened I'll be playing mostly Serah and her new uh...boyfriend...thing. Which brings up another point. Wasn't she supposed to marry Snow? I didn't see him...at all in any of the trailers/screenshots. Did they maybe get some sense knocked into their brains that he looked like a pedophile simply standing next to her? Still, I don't like the introduction of a new character while deleting all previous ones we've grown used to in the prequel. Please let this not be another Final Fantasy X-2. At least that one kept Yuna and Rikku.
I hope Lightning takes a more important role than what this trailer leads me to believe. I don't want to be stuck playing another effeminate, brooding male character. Even less since I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lightning. I can only hope and pray I guess that some previous characters make a reappearance. Or at least there be a valid explanation why they're not in this game other than, "Oh, they just disappeared! Or turned to crystal since their mission was complete!" No, not gonna take that for an answer. >>
