Dawn: Walks up to giles' door, hoping he is up and that Ryanne chick isn't around, knocks on the door, "Giles? you in there?"
Giles: Giles walked to the door and opened it, smiling. "Good morning, Dawn. Please come in. Want some tea or coffee?"
Dawn: Smiles and walks in, "Coffee please." Looks around to see if anyone else is around, "Are you alone?"
Giles: "Ryanne is watching vampire Connor," Giles sighed. "We're taking shifts until the ritual Monday night. Faith, Buffy and Spike are looking for Willow. How are you doing?"
Dawn: Shrugs and sits down, "hanging in here, not doing much of anything."
Giles: "How would you like something to focus on?" Giles asked slowly. "I've been thinking and wanted to talk to you about something."
Dawn: Looks up at him curiously, "Focus? You mean not sittign around here hopin I don't get kidnapped or dragged into another mess." smiles a bit sarcasticly, "Sorry I am just ya know, on edge with everything, but yeah I would like that. So what do you have in mind watcher man?"
Giles: "Training you to be a Watcher if you'd like," Giles smiled, bringing her coffee and fixings. "You're intelligent, know about the bad stuff, have some defensive training and we get on well together."
Dawn: Eyes widen a bit in shock but happy, "You mean me? like a totally watcher type person like you?" her mind is racing and she si smiling, "Ok, I think that is something I just may like to do."
Giles: Giles grinned and nodded. "I would like to train Buffy and Faith as well. They know how to train with the physical things, just some brush up on the study skills. There are other new Slayers out there besides Ryanne and no Watchers any more."
Giles sipped his tea. "You know that was my idea when Sunnydale fell apart. To form the Watcher Council again and then Buffy came here and I followed. I don't regret being here to help her. I do regret ever letting that vampire put his hands on me and take it."
Giles shook his head. "I'm just nervous and being around that damned vampire downstairs is nerve wracking."
Dawn: Nods listening intently, "I really would be ,"blushes a bit,"ya know.. I feel totally honored you would even ask me. In all seriousness, I wanna be aroudn to help you. I figure yeah you should do this. I mean can't you start the counicl even though you are here? I know you say you don't reget coming here, but I sometimes do."
Giles: Giles nodded. "I can get a small start here, yes. Perhaps I'll ask Wes to do some recruiting in England if he can pull his head out of the bottle eventually. I would be pleased to have you as my first student. I'll need help training Jason and Ryanne. I know he's been training with Buffy and Spike and want to talk to them about it. I at least need to work with him on the books. I doubt Spike has been showing him the latest demon codex from the Vatican, after all," Giles smiled.
Dawn: Giggles a bit, "ummmm...... yeah I doubt it too. Oh and I don't htink Spike is none to fond of him. I think Jason would like to see him dead at times. It is totally freaky at home right now. and that Ryanne, chick... ummm."sheepish grin, " I don't think she likes me all that much."
Giles: "She doesn't like anybody except me currently," Giles shrugged. "She'll adapt. Not all students are going to like each other or their Watchers. You know, anytime you need a break, you're welcome here. I make decent coffee and the sofa is comfortable."
Dawn: "Yeah she seemed a bit tense. and You! you fought her while still trying to recover." folds her arms.
Giles: "Ah yes," Giles blushed and pulled off his glasses. "I needed to knock her down a peg to get her to listen or toss her arse out the door and wipe my hands of her. I took a risk."
Dawn: Frowns and raises an eye at him, "and I so would have had to knock you down if you got her." smiles teasingly.
Giles: Giles nodded. "It worked," he protested. "I'll assign the next young kid with an attitude to you and see how you deal," he teased.
Dawn: Laughs," Boy I sure am feeling the love."
Giles: Giles chuckled and nodded. "Good to hear you laugh. Are you alright? I mean, I was there but not there when you were hurt. I'm sorry for that."
Dawn: "I try to not think about it. but now and then a nightmare or a bad thought reminding me of it all. It is safe to say I want to see so retribution, but I am trying not to dwell on it." Rambling on nervously.
Giles: Giles smiled and reached out, squeezing her hand. "I'm glad I could help where I could. If you need to rant or pound on something, we'll go to the rec room and you can thrash the punching bag."
Dawn: Smiles " I just may have to take you up on that offer. And tell me how are you dealing?"
Giles: "Me? Pacing a lot," Giles admitted. "I need to explore why the hell I'm suspectible to vampire thrall once this mess settles down. Because of it we missed the half moon. If anything happened to them over there because of it... I'll not forgive myself."
Dawn: "It isn't just you, it is something, people seem to be. I mean I did something stupid because of it all and I knwo you want to always be strong, but it doens't eman you are a failure cuz you aren't." Shrugs, "And perhaps I will stop now before I get too all philisophical.
Giles: Giles smiled and nodded. "You're right. Just kicking myself because of Dru and vampire Willow getting to me. We'll get them back, we have to. Willow's alive, I know that."
Dawn: "And this time, I know you will get Willow back. I just know you will, I mean you are ready and are aware of what you are up against. One set back, doesn't mean nothing will ever go right. Or atleast I am trying to tell myself that."
Giles: Giles sighed. "I thought vampire Willow would try and attack last night to get Connor back. Perhaps tonight. We'll be ready though. Come on, lets grab some lunch and then relieve Ryanne watching that jerk of a vampire downstairs."
Dawn: "Lunch sounds good....and sure, I will tag along."
Giles: "One of the less pleasant tasks of Watching," Giles smirked, grabbing his apartment keys. "Listening to vampires when you aren't allowed to stake them. Tell me, when was the last time you were on a motorcycle?"
Dawn: Smiles, "It was with you, after you caught me sneaking out to see Angelus."
Giles: "Ah yes, I barely remember," Giles grinned. "Wanna another ride? I haven't even been able to surprise Willow with that yet. Nice day for a ride."
Dawn: Stands up, "Yes.. Yes! I would love to go for a ride."
Giles: Giles laughed and went to the hall closet and pulled out two helmets. "Come on, I'll call Ryanne and tell her we'll bring back lunch for her. What would you like, your pick."
Dawn: "Tacos! and Enchilada's and yummy spicey food please" Laughs while heading out with Giles.
Wow.. me a watcher. I so am not wearing the tweed. Sorry, I do have some sense Of fashion I need to maintain. I gotta tell Buffy!! I hope she will be all proud of me. I think I finally am finding some focus for my life. Perhaps I have a real reason to be around and not just becaue I am the younger sister of a slayer. Don't get me wrong. I love being the sister to a slayer, that is totally cool and all, but I just need soemthing that makes me.. ya know me. LIke a real person and not some decoration on the side.
