Ok..well, technically i took a total of 927 pictures between Poland and Israel. so, it was extremely hard for me to pic out just a few to put on my lj, so that other people's computers wouldn't go insane when they try to open all of them. so, i have here 20 pictures...scaled down and lower quality so that it wont be that huge of a file. however... Eric, words cant even begin to describe what I feel when I read entries like this or see pictures like this. It's the same thing as when my sister came back from the March. One of her pictures is of a man watering his garden. His garden is the back of Majdanek. She said that he didnt even turn away when he saw the group standing there in tears. Your pictures are amazing though, and I get chills from looking at them. The empty barrack is haunting, with more than enough reason to be. . .

that's the whole point of the march (i went). to get that uneasy feeling (even though it's a hell of a lot worse than just an "uneasy feeling") but there is a great side of going, seeing the beauty right after poland, and not just seeing it. appreciating it, look at what sprung out of this hatred, such beauty. and only after such depression, the mind manifests itself in the goodness of people. and the point to remember isthe greatest lesson to ever learn.

alot of people took a million pictures but very few had the same impact as these because you accurately described what happened at each spot and it brought me back to when I was standing there with tears streaming down my face and at the same time pride filling in my heart that we were able to leave alive while so many others couldn't.

memories I will never forget.

p.s. I also think that picture of Howie sums up the march

wow -
looking at these pictures feels like looking at some crazy movie set. i dont want to believe that all this really exists .. and that it was used .. and that it can easily be up and running .. its too ... something. i cant even think of the right words.
theres this bad, bad feeling in my heart from looking at these; but at the same time, it makes me proud to be a jew ..
