Fanart: Avengers - "Mine"

This drawing started off as a simple exercise in drawing the face and hands, because a close up profile is the easiest thing for me to draw and I was feeling lazy. And then I decided to try experimenting with it using my new Wacom tablet, and it turned out a lot better than I expected! Hope you guys like it too.

This really is all kinds of epic!

I lack eloquence this morning, but here is what I love about this:

Loki's face, his lips are a piece of beauty and his eyes OMG!! his eyes, they are so intense and just, it's ALL there! Even without the hands it's obvious that he's laying claim on Thor and challenging anyone to question him.

Loki's hands. ALL THE GRABBY HANDS!! I love how even though he's only holding onto Thor directly with one hand, it's still obvious that he's all "mine" with the gesture, he doesn't even have to hold him tight with both hands, because that hand on Thor's gorgeous shoulder and his eyes make the beholder take a step back going "you can have him, it's okay." It's intimidating in the combination and it's wonderful.
