THERE WAS NO BLOODY YULE BALL.

Is that clear enough for you, you ignorant little pre-pubescent girls? The Yule Ball was a part of the ceremony that was held in part of the Goblet of Fire. Keep your little girl fantasies to yourself, or even better, as far from my journal as humanly possible, which means, yes, you leave, or I block you ( Read more... )

Why does, erm, "Fleur" have a banner of Eowyn? This makes no sense. Combining worlds? Or something.

Eowyn is a character from Lord of the Rings.

I can't say I understand, but I do know that Fleur looked like neither the cartoon, nor the woman on the journal header. Oh, the last time I checked she wasn't borderline retarded either, but I suppose these people took it upon themselves to take some 'creative writing privileges' ... or whatever.

Well, the cartoon's understandable -- it's the art on the cover of one of the Harry Potter books. It's rather the same as you using Tom Felton's photo. He's associated with you; hence, icons with him on them are effective in communicating the idea of you. But Eowyn . . . that's the wrong world entirely.

THAT WAS SCARY!!! slave_monkey January 5 2004, 16:21:28 UTC
I went through all of those folks journals...and Cho's really really really really really scared me. Especially that icon! Even I'm not vain enough to use an image of me with *those* words written on it. I'd be too embarassed to even show what I really really look like!!

Okay...that was honestly scary, I totally know how you feel...well not really cause I'm not an incredibly wise, eloquent and original person such as yourself but people posting crap up like that is a waste of webspace. Not to mention they are turning LJ into a circus filled with mutated freaks!! I think this is why invite codes should be kept. After they disappeared freaks are turning up everywhere and people who paid or annoyed their friends for codes are left in tiny little corners reserved for people who have brains and post things that make something called: A POINT.

One last comment to all these people: "DON'T WASTE PRECIOUS WEBSPACE AND LJ USERS' TIME!!"

If I were Cho Chang and saw a journal based around me that so wretchedly butchered not only my intelligence, but made me look like a self involved narcissist (who isn't even remotely attractive by the way) who can't spell, I would take a flying leap off of my broom. I did happen to scan over the survey Cho had taken, and kindly pointed out that 'Cho' could in fact be shortened to 'ho'.

Dear Merlin! What has possessed them to think they could pretend to be a student? I mean have they even read the books? I mean honestly it's like they beat themselves upside the head with the books hoping to absorb the contents by osmosis. I'm sure that's the closest they've come to cracking open any one of the books. They've probably only been exposed to the movies and fan fiction. While there's nothing wrong with those, they are not canon and are not something to base a character off of. And the Yule Ball? Did they forget that it wasn't in any book prior to Goblet of Fire, or that it wasn't in Order of the Phoenix? I guess trying to read by osmosis depleted the last of their braincells.

I don't believe they'd know what a book was, even if it were to be bashed into the side of their empty skull. It may make a nice instrument mind you ... which might amount to all they're truly good for.

Hmmm... my friend's brother was wanting a new drumset. *Goes off in search of the empty-skulled posers to make a lovely new drum set.*

Wow, that was awesome. I added some of those people and often found myself losing IQ points as I read.
