A heart is not judged by how much you love...but by how much you are loved by others

Part of me quite likes this idea, having met too many people who offer up immense but worthless love too easily. Part of me feels it lets down those truly loving souls born into hateful or empty houses.

I love all the contrary wisdom hidden in the 'Wizard of Oz'.

I am also divided on the sentiment. Mind I do feel a twinge that love could be worthless.

I do feel a twinge that love could be worthless.

Some is worse than worthless: handed out too easily and discarded when a another shining object passes by; or the love that's really a love of 'being in love' without engaging in any loving behaviour; or that's used as a tool to contain and control; or that's used to excuse other bad behaviour. I guess I can be a little skeptical, though when I see the good stuff, it thrills me and makes me happy just to watch it.

yeah, I suppose I was excluding those sorts of love (naive little thing I can be) and just thinking of my own glorious love... *ggls* mind, it has been unwanted on at least once occassion. So Um THANKS for pointing that out. *grumbles/ggls*
