My doctor, said that once you become a vegetarian, you have to like eat a lot of protien to make up with the minerals you've been getting for so long and are used to digesting so once you become a vegetarian out of the blue your body stores up the fat that you're eating and mistakes it for minerals so its like excess fat.
You do not need to go on a diet.
And if you do diet, being a vegetarian is not a good idea, because then your blood sugar is way low and you could get sick.
