I am always wondering -

Why does everyone ignore the option of "OPEN ADOPTION"?!

The parent putting their child up for adoption picks the adoptive parents, gets to know them. The adoptive parents pay for medical expenses for the pregnant mom, and when the baby is born, the birth mother gets to stay in contact with the family and baby. The mother can exchange birthday/holiday cards, call on the phone, and meet up with her child and the adoptive parents pretty much as much as she wishes.

Regular adoptions just make me sick, knowing that open adoption is an option.

I completely agree.

Problem is that most people who choose adoption think its their way out
,Meaning they don't have the guilt of abortion and they can force themselves into disillusion that their baby will be placed in the perfect home and never be phased that their parents shrugged them off
-Or.. the mother/father don't even bother with disillusion and takes the road of indifference.

Adoption should require healthy involvement of the birth parents, in my opinion.

I must say that your points are pretty much valid.

I would be more inclined to be pro-euthanasia. But on the subject of abortion, I'm a pro-abortion for the first four months of pregnancy and pro-life thereafter.

Rather contradictory and complex, I admit. But it's one of those things that it's pretty hard for me to understand and explain to myself (maybe cos it's 3:30 am in the moring right now), but that's just how I feel.

Hi, Ashly. This is Armen.

Hey there,
Shedding away the old journal?

Yes, we're on the same page there when it comes to abortion. It sickens me that these parents would wait 4 MONTHS to decide they suddenly don't want the child growing inside them.
I mean.. the very procedure after 4 months is just.. apalling.

How's this for late? And nothing deep to say either, but nevertheless ( ... )
