I haven't seen "Of Human Bondage" but I know a lot of people who do think that is overrated and much prefer Kim Novak's version. And Cover Girl is one of my favorite Rita Hayworth movies!!

what's Kim Novak's version? and I LOVED cover girl! its the first movie I've seen with Rita Hayworth (I've been missing out on so much) and I thought so was so amazing and cute. I cant wait to see Gilda.

Some other of my favorite Rita films are "Pal Joey", and "You'll Never Get Rich"

Kim Novak's version is the same script but only updated. It was made in 1964 with her as Mildred and Laurence Harvey as Philip. I haven't seen either version so I can't offer my opinion, but there's a lot of reviews on imdb.com that seem to prefer her version to Bette Davis'.

I think it was pretty good but there seems to be a lot of hype surrounding it, it was kinda depressing and I thought it was a bit meaningless. I don't like Leslie Howard either lol. I think you should see it though.

I've seen Of Human Bondage...I thought it was good! Your right it was a little overrated. And I've seen Shop Around the Corner! Ohh I adore that movie. It's awesome. Red Dust! Gee that's a swell one! Also how was the Sister's. Was it with Bette and Errol?

Oh the Shop was the BEST!! haha I love when shes reading the letter thats my favourite bit. Red Dust was INCREDIBLY steamy I love it. The Sisters was good but I think for 29 Errol looked a bit old. I remember him much younger. Weird. They were all good though.

Of Human Bondage is overrated. Love the movie, Love Bette, but I just don't think its worth all the attention it gets. Its a good movie, but people over advertise it, and the movie gets lost.
