I'm sorry to hear that :( on the bright side, it seems that in some cases the info can be recovered, but you'll need a new hd to save all the info (or tons of dvds!) :s I wish I could help you but I don't know that much about computers u.u I'm always scared that this could happen to me! O.O that's why I decided that I will always buy 500 gb external hd! losing 1tb of information at once is too much for my heart! X.X if the disk gets damaged, I'll still have info in other disks! (well, when I finally buy more disks, that is ^^U)
I'm thinking of asking for the warranty on it...I hope I can remove my movies first. I think they're not allowed to look at the data in it but even if they did, I doubt they'd know Arashi =[
The complication is, when they sent me the hard drive, they actually sent me the wrong one. It's pretty much the same, so I just kept it. But now I don't know how it'll affect the warranty :C
I don't think it affects the warranty... if the model is similar then both harddrives should have the same warranty, right? O.o? *shrugs* I hope they fix it and don't send you a new one, that would be the easiest way for them to solve the problem but nothing pays all the time downloading the files :s good luck!
