Does anyone else feel like they've forgotten the life they had before they arrived here?

I was up there once, with the stars. Now I look up at the night sky and it's just as enigmatic as when I thought things like that were impossible.

I wouldn't put it that way. The way I had to live involved getting into the habit of moving on, whatever happened, else we would fall into despair.

I haven't forgotten about it literally. When I look back on my memories, it feels like they belong to someone else. I've adapted almost too well to this new life.
