NAME & USERNAME: Tachibana Shito | jianshi (which... I will probably change eventually or something alsdkfjs)
SERIES: Zombie Loan
PERSONALITY: To any low-level player or towards any strangers, Shito is as amicable as they come. Low health? He'll hand you a recovery item. Need a party member? Depends on his mood, but he will happily direct you to someone who will help out. An all-round model player who seems to enjoy playing this game as much as anyone else. Smart and quick thinking, he's the type of person that doesn't seem to be in anyway odd or out of the ordinary.
But you can't always judge a book by it's cover (or a PC by their actions)
Anyone who is familiar with him tends to see another part of his personality all together. Where he acts amicable and friendly (if not a bit aloof) to others, towards those that are 'closer' to him he acts just as distant if not more so. While smart, he has a tendency of not listening to what people are saying to him, or skimming over messages instead of reading them properly. The result is a clever but air-headed individual who seems more focused on fulfilling his own personal goarls. Shito isn't here to find friends or comrades online; he's in Sol Invictus to fulfill a contract with a certain someone (and even then, it looks like there's another motive behind his actions).
Underneath all of that though, Shito truly does care about the people near and dear to him (even if he acts otherwise). Enough to put whatever life he has on the line for them, or at least beat the shit out of the sorry person who tried to hurt them. Not exactly compassionate, but having a great skill in observing others, Shito tends to stay on the sidelines and help in rather roundabout methods...
Or... Strange and unusual methods. A deranged sense of humour, he has it.
CHARACTER CLASS: Surefire Arm
HIGH/MID/LOW LEVEL?: level capped at the borderline for mid and high level
AU BACKGROUND:
In China, there is a rumor of an underground orgainzation that exists in the shadowy streets and markets, dealing in everything from information to trafficking to internet crimes. The unveiling of Sol Invictus only provided another means of business. Even with the GM watching the interactions, the organization continued to work in the shadows and corners of the game. Supposedly, even with the comas and the murders surrounding the game, the mafia continues, hidden and apparently immune from the law...
Still, with the vagrant AIs running throughout the game, they attempted to try and create their own. Take advantage of the world wide web and extend their influence. It took several decades, but they finally succeeded.
Their first successful AI was a young woman. Placed within the game as an NPC, she worked as a shopkeeper, gathering information and providing the organization with information where avaliable. However, her data was incomplete. She would periodically go into standby mode in which her character model would simply cease function (or maybe her data was incomplete from the start). So the programming continued alongside the illegal activities that took place in reality. Shortly afterwards, it came to light that the original AI had created another AI, a young boy. In the time it took for the original programmers to discover this though, the younger of the two had developed into a Vagrant AI; one with a deep attachment to his 'mother'. With her data still under the control of the organization and the unstable nature of her programming it wasn't hard to use her as a means to control the Vagrant AI.
And how they took advantage of this AI...
Yet there was only so much they could do with a simple NPC. So with a tweaks in programming, Shito (username; ) was given the Surefire Arm class and player status. There were a few bugs that came with this though, but none of it hampered his ability to work.
Since then he's been playing in Sol Invictus, both serving as a member of the organization (as an occastional PK-er as well as a middleman for offline deals) and searching for a way to free his 'mother' from the confines of Xu Fu's master computer.
