Persona 3 plot --
Female protagonist route detailsHistory Section: Minako's background and the events of the game in her route are nearly identical to the way it plays out in the male protagonist's route save for some differences in which characters make up which Social Links. The main difference is that Minako forms Social Links with all members of SEES, including Shinjiro Aragaki, who she forms a friendship with and gets to know quite well over the month of September. Towards the end of the month, after he mentions losing his pocketwatch, she manages to retrieve it from the lost and found at the police station and return it to him.
Thus, when he's shot by Takaya on the night of October 4th, Shinjiro manages to survive his injuries, albeit in a coma. The rest of the month of October plays out essentially the same as in the male protagonist's route, with Shinjiro remaining the hospital.
Personality: Minako is a friendly, sociable person. She loves people; she naturally tries to befriend those around her with little concern for differences in age and standing, and if she thinks that someone near her is troubled by something then she automatically wants to find out what it is and to help them with it. She loves to listen to people, and does her best to understand their points of view. This makes her highly adaptable in social situations, but it also means that she sometimes finds herself telling people what they seem to want to hear even if it's not necessarily what she believes herself. It's not due to a lack of will - she will staunchly stand by her friends if they get into trouble even if it means sharing their punishment - it's just that she wants to be a good friend and it can be hard to see when "being a good friend" should mean warning someone off of a bad idea instead of encouraging them. In any case, she has the quality of being an excellent listener.
She is cheerful and optimistic by nature and prefers to keep an upbeat attitude, to the point that she can easily seem as though she's not taking things as seriously as she really is. However, she's also a very stubborn person, and once she's made up her mind to do something, she throws her whole effort into it and sticks to it with determination. She (perhaps hypocritically) doesn't like to burden other people with her troubles, and this combined with her highly social nature and her way of applying her full efforts to whatever she is doing means that she runs the risk of pushing herself too hard and trying to do too much at once.
Minako is curious and enjoys trying new things, especially if it involves spending time with friends; she's a quick study and picks up new information and skills pretty easily. She tries to enjoy life as much as she can. She also loves music, and is rarely without her mp3 player and earphones.
Abilities: Minako has the "wild card" ability to summon more than one Persona and change between them at will, and can keep up to twelve Personas available to her. Which Persona is currently her dominant Persona influences her physical abilities and her resistances and vulnerabilities. Using her Evoker - a piece of technology which resembles but is not a handgun - she can summon her dominant Persona to cast magic or attack her enemies.
The twelve Personas Minako has currently are Orpheus, Hua Po, Sarasvati, Laksmi, Oberon, Valkyrie, Attis, Pale Rider, Kohryu, Sandalphon, Setanta, and Vishnu. Full details on their attributes and abilities are listed
here, but the powers they give Minako access to break down into several categories:
Physical attacks in which Minako summons the Persona to attack one or more targets directly.
Magical attacks, mostly elemental: fire, ice, wind, lightning, light, and dark, plus the non-elemental Megido spell.
Magical healing for single or multiple targets, including abilities which can revive an ally from unconsciousness.
Buffs which enhance physical strength, defense against injury, or accuracy and evasion for one or more targets.
Debuffs which reduce physical strength, defense, or accuracy and evasion for one or more targets, or which remove existing buffs or temporarily nullify certain elemental resistances and immunities.
Passive abilities which enhance Minako's physical abilities, boost the strength of a certain element of magic, or provide health or magic regeneration.
Each Persona has no more than eight ablities total; each Persona's abilities are only accessible to Minako while that Persona is her dominant Persona.
Aside from her Persona-related abilities, Minako is skilled in the use of a naginata in combat and generally quite athletic. She has played on her school's volleyball team, is a competent cook if she has a recipe to follow, and has enough skill at sewing and knitting to make small crafts and accessories.

What happened? I was right with everyone a moment ago, but I don't recognize this place at all.
I don't get it... Is it another Shadow trick? But we already won, there shouldn't be any more--
[She breaks off in mid-sentence. Okay, enough of that, first things first:]
Fuuka? Guys? If anyone can hear me, please answer right away and let me know you're all right!
What's going on...?

"H-Hey, how come nobody's eating? Don't tell me you're full already?"
"Are you kidding? I'm stuffed!"
Minako doesn't say anything for the moment, just leans back in the armchair she's claimed and listens to her friends chatter over what's left of the magnificent spread of sushi Mitsuru-senpai had laid out for them. Truth be told, she isn't full yet, and ordinarily she'd be helping herself to more - this kind of feast doesn't happen every day - but right now she's thinking.
Why aren't I more excited? she wonders.
The Shadows are gone, the Dark Hour is over, and all the danger is past, and she should feel relieved. And it's not that she doesn't, but at the same time, there's a little part of her that feels oddly disconnected from the others' excitement. It's not like me.
Maybe it's because we're not all here? Aigis and the Chairman still haven't gotten back from the lab, and with Shinjiro-senpai still in the hospital... it's hard to really celebrate when some of the people who helped make it possible couldn't be there to join in.
And then there's Pharos's farewell the night before to think about, too. Strange though the little boy's presence has been, she's gotten used to it over the past months, and now it's even stranger to think that he won't be appearing in her room (in her dreams?) in the middle of the night to talk any more. He could have at least explained a little more clearly before he left. Geez. And what's this "Fall" he was talking about? He never told me...
She catches Ken looking at her across the table and smiles her brightest for him, giggling a little at how awkwardly he smiles back. It's kind of cute how solemn he is for a kid his age.
I guess I won't be seeing very much of him now, huh?
Maybe that's what it is, she thinks. As tough as it's been, fighting the Shadows together in SEES has taken up most of their lives for - what - eight months? Without that, she might never have gotten to know Ken, or Fuuka and Akihiko-senpai and Mitsuru-senpai, or become such close friends with Yukari and Junpei, or spent so much time with Koro-chan. She definitely wouldn't ever have met Aigis or Shinjiro-senpai. Even though she's happy they won't have to fight any more, at the same time, it's a little sad to think that after tonight, SEES just... won't exist any more.
...which is dumb, Minako realizes almost as soon as she thinks about it. Just because they're not all in SEES together any more, they're going to stop being friends? It's not like they're going anywhere. She'll still see everybody at school; she can still walk back to the dorm with Yukari and Junpei or have cooking club with Fuuka or go for ramen with Akihiko-senpai, and stop at the shrine to see Koro-chan, just like always. And there's nothing that says she won't see Ken any more either, or even that Aigis has to stop coming to school. They're all still connected. This just means they don't have to spend hours of their lives every night getting lost in Tartarus and fighting Shadows until they're all exhausted.
She might even still be able to visit Theodore in the Velvet Room. It's not like he or Igor has ever said she couldn't.
Seriously, what's this uneasiness about? This is a party!
Just from realizing it, her body feels lighter, and Minako stretches and reaches to grab some more sushi before Junpei eats it all, grinning cheerfully at him over the table.
Everything's fine, she tells herself, and believes it. There's nothing to worry about.
