Your writing was just beautiful and so evocative. The imagery created here was colorful and moving. I loved the voice of Castiel's thoughts; they made him so layered. I really felt, from your words, that Cas was an ancient being that has seen so much. And not that he was emotionless, as is sometimes insinuated on the show and in fanfic, but that he is a creature with so much emotion that humans cannot even hope to conceive its depths.

Wow seems to be the general reaction here. WOW. If this is what happens when you get befuddled, you should do it more often.
