I really enjoyed this. I like how Dean tries to keep his promise to Sam even as it makes him miserable. This is not the life he wanted or choose but he does it out of guilt and obligation.

And I love your Cas here. He's wiser and more powerful but still cares for and loves Dean and wishes to help him heal. Dean doesn't make this easy for him but Cas still tries until he gets through. It's that loyalty and determination that makes him so awesome.

This was the perfect cap to season 5. The detail you put into Dean's recovery really got to me-- it's so often glossed over in fics, all this healing he has to do to get to anywhere approaching 'normal', or 'okay'. Seeing Cas and Lisa's patience with him was so touching. Really, really a gorgeous fic. Well done!
