A Nice Little Compact Rant About Those TV Shows (Again)

May 04, 2007 00:11

Let's put this behind a cut just because I don't know how long this is going to be.

Starting in order of the week...

Heroes
So I basically talked about this already, but to just restate it: I freaking loved this episode. I loved the whole in the future thing. I loved the whole what could happen thing. I loved the whole Peter Petrelli/Sylar fight. Heck ( Read more... )

now, if he goes surfing every episode, that would really boost Private Practice's ratings =P

I've sort of lost interest in TBD. It's not as good as it used to be and I'm having a hard time getting myself to watch each new episode.

We missed a huge chunk of L/P relationship because CW made it go on hiatus for eight weeks and RT and co. decided to make them start dating right before. So I guess the couple-y stuff is pretty legit, since they've basically been dating for eight weeks. But that doesn't mean I have to like it. I want L/V to be the main thing again. Actually, I just want them to be all snarky and funny and fun again.

Wait. Sark is going to be on the spin-off? I didn't catch Grey's tonight, but if he's on TV, I'm watching.

i know what you mean. tbd was awesome to begin with..it's kind of getting boring now..but i'm still watching just because i'm not mad at the tv show yet =P

ugh, the 8 week hiatus..don't even get me started. my friends are all sorts of happy because that ended and i stopped complaining about my vm/oth deprival, lol. but it's kind of weird l/p getting together and then BAM they're a serious something..it felt kind of weird. & i agree, i want v/l to go back to normal.

& i think sark was only in the one episode..he was the husband of the patient or something..idk..he's not a co-star like Merrin Dungey. if he was, i'd be jumping for joy =) i miss seeing him on tv (even though technically i never did watch alias on air, it was more like dvds..but still)

Dammit! Why does my brother and father have to be watching a freaking car show on the only tv in the house worth using?

I can't read any of this because I haven't watched any tv this week. at all. (it was a tough week). And Friday I'm like, hey, I can at least get Grey's knocked out Friday night. But no, I have to wait another 40 minutes until I can watch anything, and start reading your post.

So now I feel bad for ranting about my issues on your post. But I'm glad you got to watch so much good television, and I'll be back sometime to comment. :)

Okay, I've watched Grey's Anatomy!

I actually liked the private practice stuff more then I thought I would. Except the whole wellness group thing sounds a little cultish to me, and it was often sort of ridiculous. I'm worried that the spin off will become like Boston Legal. Which while entertaining, rarely has the depth of Grey's Anatomy and has hurt the reputation of the creator.

And I don't like how they (creators of both shows.) seem to be shoving relationship problems down our throats. I love a decent amount of angst, and a couple relationships falling apart here and there, but now it's like EVERY SINGE COUPLE IN THE SHOW is in danger of seperation, and/or every character is like (semi)permantently screwed regarding relationships for various reasons. It's kind of tiring and desentizing.

I think Private Practice is going to be intersting. It kind of contrasts Grey's and the people on the show..well, I can't think of any other word than interesting. I just hope they don't make this show cliche and well, stupid.

& I understand what you're saying abou the relationship problems, they are getting kind of annoying now. Every relationship on the show is messed up. The George/Izzie relationship is really, really bothering me though. To me, it's unnecessary drama that shouldn't be happening. (Yeah, I don't like Izzie & George as anything but friends)
